Would anyone object if Lieberman was asked to leave the party?
Or booted out if he wouldn't leave on his own?

One of these days, the real Democrats who are left standing and fighting for us are going to have to do something like this to send a message that we will not put up with Party disruptors who sleep with the enemy. At a time like this, we have to send the message that loyalty to the Party and its constituents takes precedence over everything else.

I used to like Joe, but it's time for him to go.

3. Yes, I object. I don't like Lieberman any more than you do, but
to get the majority, you have to have the most seats! The majority gets all the chairmanships, sets the agenda, and really controls EVERYTHING!

I'm not willing to give up ANY seats at all!

Now, if a good Dem can run against Lieberman and win, that would be great! But if they can't I want Joe instead of some AH Pub taking his seat!

6. Sorry, I can't help ya. I don't live in Ct.
Have you ever thought that what he does is what the people of Ct. want?

I don't know, so don't yell at me. I'm just asking. He seems to always get re-elected, so maybe he's just doing what his constituents want?????

7. Can you excommunicate somebody from a political party?
If so, Joe Loserman should be among the first to go.

11. I was wondering about that when I posted
I think someone can be kicked out, but I don't know for sure. Maybe someone around here can enlighten us on this. If they can be given the boot by the party, I'm sure it would take a lot more than we think it would to see it actually happen.

10. I'd object
Lieberman does a lot to piss me off, but, frankly, he's not the worst Senator we have.

A poster in another thread put together a nice list:

If we were only to allow Senators who voted "correctly" on all these issues -- and somebody considers each be a "make or break" issue -- we'd have a grand total of nine.

14. AFAIC, Lieberman is a jinx.
Furthermore, as long as we have *cough* Democratic Senators like Lieberman, the good citizens of America will have a solid basis for saying, "What difference does it make who I vote for? They're all alike."

We need a Democrat to replace the DINO Lieberman. He does more harm than good.

15. In earlier days he championed civil rights in the U.S. but of late
he's a waterboy for the Bush administration.

Can't stand his betrayal.
