1. Hunh?
You may want to read it again. The choices are against gay marriage, against gay marriage or civil unions and for gay marriage.

2. The last choice is "Don't ban gay marriages"
It has the highest percentage

But the Virginian-Pilot appears to be rotating polls, so you have to select "More polls" if the one on gay marriage isn't being featured.

3. Maybe I am wrong but I think not
Does Virginia's proposed amendment against gay marriage go too far in also prohibiting a ''union, partnership or other legal status'' like marriage?

Yes, just ban same-sex marriage 28.22%

No, approve the amendment as written 32.79%

Don't ban gay marriage 39%

Total: 4703 votes

It comes out to 60% against gay marriage. It needs some DU love.

"RICHMOND — Gov. Timothy M. Kaine said Thursday that, although he agrees that marriage should be limited to a union of one man and one woman, a proposed state constitutional amendment on the issue “goes too far.”

“I do support the notion that marriage is between a man and a woman,” Kaine told listeners during a radio program. “That’s current Virginia law, and I would support it in the constitution. The problem with the amendment, though, is it does much, much more than that. … It just has consequences far beyond marriage.”

The ammendment is against gay marriage OR gay civil unions.
And this idiot is giving the Democratic rebuttal to the State of the Union address?
