Gore Vidal: A War Against Terror Is Like A War Against Dandruff

"It's a metaphor" he said in the History Channel documentary about Lincoln. And a civil war is a more serious matter than what someone else is facing though Vidal says he won't name names. Another historian was speaking about the empathy Lincoln had and how he wanted to speak to the wounded and widows. That empathy, the man said, is the difference between a great president and a mediocre one.

1. I loved the documentary and the way it contrasted between Lincoln...

and little Bush. Though they didn't name names, they definately were talking about ONE president who considers himself a "War President".

2. Their Disdain For The Unnamed One Was Pretty Obvious

It is a wonderful documentary, breathtaking in it's portrait of Lincoln.
