Gore Vidal: A War Against Terror Is Like A War Against Dandruff
"It's a metaphor" he said in the History Channel documentary about Lincoln. And a civil war is a more serious matter than what someone else is facing though Vidal says he won't name names. Another historian was speaking about the empathy Lincoln had and how he wanted to speak to the wounded and widows. That empathy, the man said, is the difference between a great president and a mediocre one.
