Bush kids doing dirty dancing
Bush kids doing dirty dancing

Asian News International
New York, January 28, 2006

Considered as 'wild and crazy,' gals Barbara and Jenna Bush, the Bush twins who are no stranger to scandal, have once again raised eyebrows, after being spotted doing an alchohol driven table dance at a D.C. Night club.

The First Twins have been reportedly seen dancing on tables at a boozy "Broken Resolutions"-themed soiree at D.C. hot spot Play on Thursday (26Jan06) night.

According to The New York Post quoting the Hill newspaper, the Grey Goose vodka-sponsored blowout featured "cigarette girls passing out smokes, chocolates and even condoms".

"There were fishnet-clad dancers, sporting handcuffs and police hats, gyrating on a pole," the paper further reports.

1. Ya know, if W were my pops
I'd probably be acting up too. Not table dances, but I'm sure I'd find some way to escape the reality that is my hell.

and sanctimony. Part of * voters like him is because he's "fatherly". Well, look how the children he fathered have turned out.

Granted it's pretty slutty behavior, but if they didn't have the Prez as a pop, no one would care.

31. Bingo
And that's why I don't care. When they mess with my civil liberties, then I'll care about them. Until that day, may they enjoy freedom and liberty and good times. Of course, when it comes to their paternal ancestors, it's whole other story.

12. They have low self-esteem.
Mother is an enabler and father is a loose cannon. I feel rather sorry for them, a life of privilege should have brought them more than this. Compare them to Caroline Kennedy, Amy Carter, Chelsea Clinton, they (the twins) have been weighed and measured and found wanting.

5. I thought Jenna was teaching school
Just how in the world can a teacher who is doing her job go out partying on a Thursday night? I know when I taught school, my weeknights were spent either working on school work, planning projects for school, going to meetings, or simply going to bed early, exhausted.

Which they might: Poodle's son Euan starts his Repuke slush fund job next month.

16. The other girls don't have parents that got selected

based on "Family Values."

These are not young girls, these are adults that campaigned for their dictator father.

There father is selecting a SC judge who will be opposed to Abortion.

Since the twins can well afford such, that leaves many WOMEN left out of the picture.

These two GROWN WOMEN should be exposed again and again for what they really are ~ trash.

Zombie mom and drunk dad. I feel sorry for them. I think their behavior is gross, but look what they had to work with.

They are no Chelsey Clinton or Amy Carter that's for sure. But then their parents were lucid during their formative years.

33. Exactly

The issue for me is that the sheep of America have no idea that Bush and Laura were not saints.

They refuse to see that TRUTH.

Therefore, they won't even entertain the notion of the apple - tree theory. :)

21. but if one is a teacher
she has certain responsibilities to her job. Maybe I'm old fashioned-hey, I'm old! :) - but when I was teaching school at age 21, I wasn't going out to parties on school nights. Mind you, I don't drink and except for trying it once or twice, never have. But where I taught school there were quite a few teachers my age, and many of them did indulge. But I never heard of any of them, even the ones who were considered "wild" partying like that on a school night. I would be very surprised if you found that "most young girls" at that party were school teachers.

11. I imagine she's either "supervising" or "observing," or
possibly "facilitating." I don't see her as the lesson plan type.

Rich girls have one function in life: to marry well. Once they do that, they've fulfilled their destiny. Popping out an heir and a spare is expected of them, but surrogacy will do if they're incapable. Nannies make sure the kids survive childhood and the wife is left to alcohol and charity work.

I often think rich daughters have a pretty thin time of things. Being a rich girl in that family would be especially awful. Not only would your horizons be limited, you'd be brought up with incredibly skewed values that wouldn't sustain any fully functional human being.

I'm not sure about Barbara -- she seems a little more together, but I doubt either one is qualified academically or emotionally for such a an important job.

7. Maybe trying to push up W*'s ratings, State of the Union comin' up:
Bush's approval rate dives
From: By Jim Malone in Washington
January 29, 2006

PRESIDENT George W. Bush faces the nation on Wednesday with public confidence in his administration at an all-time low.

He goes into his annual State of the Union address with a Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg poll showing only 43 per cent of Americans approved of his performance - his weakest showing.

Bush received even lower marks for his handling of the economy, healthcare and Iraq especially from women, who the poll found had turned against him on several fronts.

18. Dancing on couches, according to The Hill
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=248559&mesg_id=248559

Young people have every right to party like it's 1999, imo, but the hypocrisy does rankle. The condom schtick really got my goat. Here Laura was just blasting critics of US promotion of "abstinence only" policies in countries where condoms could save lives and here is her family treating them like party favors. Pathetic.

23. Again, my old fashioned values coming in
If this party had been held over a weekend, I wouldn't be posting this. But if, indeed, Jenna or Barbara have jobs that they have to go to bright and early the next day, what in the world are they doing attending a boozy party like this? The point is responsibility-and where I come from, if you have a job, you have a responsibility to make sure you are there on time, sober, and not hung over.

30. I don't disagree with all of that
Of course it's easier to respect someone who takes their responsibilities seriously - and we can speculate about it, but there isn't anything in this report to tell what happened the next day, or what they actually drank or even how late they were out. I don't go so far as to think it's wrong to be out with friends or to have a drink during a work week.

28. But I was told on that other thread that WE'RE the hypocrites...
for merely pointing that out. :eyes:

While I would never call them derogatory names, even mentioning that the twins don't live up to the morals represented by the party they
actively campaigned for makes us hypocritical scum. Go figure.

Rose, your brief post has brought up a very good point about the "condom schtick". Thank you.

When the the dust has settled and this is all over, maybe the media will leave them alone. And maybe one of them will switch parties. Who knows.

25. They Are Not "Kids". They Are Irresponsible Women
These are not teenagers, these are grown women. They were raised poorly, and it shows, but they certainly are no longer children. They are just another nice fit in the nation's number one disfunctional family.

29. I agree and aren't we 'In a time of war'? as their father likes to say?
It's totally wrong for the first family, in a time of war, to be partying like that when others their age, and a lot younger are being sent to their deaths by this president.

He started the wars, he ought to reign his ignorant, selfish and 'let them eat cake' family in if he want's to use this 'we are in a time of war' to silence American citizens.

Looking at his partying daughters, who apparently aren't too concerned about his 'time of war', how dare he tell the rest of us WE have to act differently??

I don't care how rich they are (and I would rather starve than live off money made for generations on the blood of other people) they are no better nor do they deserve to be treated any differently than any other American citizen.

Next time Bush and his cohorts start blathering about 'Time of War' and 'watch what you say' or 'things changed after 9/11' ~ tell him to start with his family. They are certainly not acting as he wants US to act, they don't seem to have noticed that they are 'in a time of war', or that 'everything changed after 9/11' do they?

They strike me as shallow and superficial - very much like Paris Hilton, or many other girls their age with rich parents.

But until they start actually making political stateements (like their dimwitted mother), even talking about them feels like gossiping about tabloid trash (even though it may be real). I generally don't discuss politicians' families, as long as they stay out of the way. Although, we can infer one thing - we don't see 'conservative' values instilled in these two.
