Will we know which DINOS obstructed the Alito filibuster?
I hope so.

As a true progressive who thinks the biggest threat to our party is the DLC and their corporatist buddies I feel as if my campaign donations are best spent funding progressives democrats who challenge DINOS in the primaries.

The second political donation of my life will be going to Lieberman's challenger Ned Lamont (the first was to Paul Hackett's run for OH-2.)

We aren't in power in Congress. This is the best time to take our party back from the spineless weenie corporatists of the DLC.

So far it's Feinstein, Landrieu, Salazar and Nelson (NE) if I am not mistaken.

5. Meet The Press
"Sen. Dianne Feinstein said Democrats are unlikely to block a vote on Samuel Alito's confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court even though most members of the party oppose President George W. Bush's nominee.

Feinstein, a California Democrat and a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said yesterday that while she considers Alito too conservative and will vote against him, his views are not so far outside the mainstream of U.S. politics to merit a filibuster.

"I don't see those kinds of egregious things emerging requiring a filibuster," Feinstein said on CBS' "Face the Nation" yesterday. "I might disagree with him. That doesn't mean that he doesn't have credentials to serve on the Supreme Court."

Here is what she said on Meet the Press. It has been interpreted to mean she wouldn't support filibuster. I nearly fainted.

6. Crap! As a mbr of Emily's List, I will vigorously oppose funding her
any more. DiFi is a constant recipient of our funds and I will protest to Emily's List if she dares to vote "yes" on cloture.

7. I believe that's Byrd, not Feinstein....
at least not yet.

The others, I've all read are "yeas" for Alito.

3. I think Hillary will run as a third party candidate(DLC)
or an independant if she cannot get nominated in the primaries. You say "No Way!"? Hillary can raise enough money with no problem. Either way Obama will be VP. Bank on it.

4. yes, we will know.
It will be the ones who vote "yes" on cloture and "no" on Alito... or yes on both votes. The cloture vote is the one to watch, though, cuz its the one that really counts.
