Lets say Dean drops out with 2 or 3 candidates still in the race after
Ok, let's say Dean is going into Wisconsin facing Kerry and Clark, or Kerry Clark and Edwards hoping for his candidacy to be revived. He gets 13 percent and drops out.

Now, does he not involve himself with the rest of the race and let whoever wins win, or does he endorse a candidate and throw his support and supporters behind him.

I'm wondering if he would ever say, endorse Clark if Clark agreed to appoint him DNC chair or something like that.

I'm not asking if you think he'll drop out or not, I'm asking if it's more likely that if he did, if he would exert his political power or let things progress without his influence

2. Dean can't throw his supporters to anyone
He can endorse someone but that doesn't mean I'm necessarily going there.

4. Your "theory" is indeed..."interesting".
Okay, so, If "candidate" Clark "appoints" "cadidate" Dean, then What would "candidate" Kerry say?

Your hypothetical scenario is....

Is someone missing the point here?

8. Many endorsements are quid pro quo
The endorser expects to get something out of it.
