The Crux of Gore's Speech: We The People MUST Do Something NOW
Al may be a King Arthur riding in on a dark horse to ring the bell...but (correctly so) he didn't say the power fell into his hands.

Al clearly said that the power is concentrated in the hands of "We the People" as per Barr's quote/

Here are the crisis cogent strategy questions We the People should be asking since Al raised the banner of truth and light on high with his speech:
    1. What are the top two goals for We the People?

    2. What is our strategy to achieve this goal?

    3. How do we forge a bi-partisan grass-roots effort...become TRUE uniters for a majority populace movement, and no longer play into the "us against them" White House meme?

1. It sounded a lot like a rallying cry for a revolution
And if the voting machines ain't ditched by 2006, it would be futile to hope for a revolution at the polls.

2. Stop excessive executive power
we already have biparitsanship on this issue of illegal wiretaps. This should be pursued and we should reach out to more and more Republicans on this issue. Once we have them on that, then we go after the corruption in Congress, which is really a result of this concentration of power-and many Republicans realize that it is bad as well. We reach out to our Republican neighbors using these two items and reminding them of the core values of their party, and how the repukes in power are really not representing these values.
