2. There is always hope.
Even if we lose it all there is always hope. When hope is gone so are we. Nurture it.

3. I hope some of us bottled some away in a time capsule...
It's been so long I doubt most of us would recognize the feeling..... But, Al is speaking to us, that's for sure.

4. I feel like Daddy has come home
and yes, I know that is a stupid paternalistic thing to say, but it's how I feel.

5. not stupid or paternalistic- at all! You
are speaking about your feelings-

And what hope feels like to you-

I hope your"Daddy" has come home-

I hope we all have reason to 'believe' that this dark world can still entertain light-

"and hold fast to dreams,
for if dreams die
life is a broken winged bird, that cannot fly"
(Langston Hughes)

6. Thank you
my daddy came home from "the plant" every day at 5:30. When they built the Interstate he made it home by 5:20. He was the most constant thing in my life and when he was home I knew that no harm would come to us. It is the strongest metaphor I can use, I guess.
