Rove Must Be Laughing His Ass Off!
Here we are trying to get our candidates to dance this way or that, or to this song or another.

All the while he pulls strings, spins the discs, conducts the orchestra and writes the tunes that American politics has danced too for five years now.

Not only that, he managed to get billions of tax dollars to purchase the vote counting machinery that insures republicans can win any race, anywhere in the country, at the click of a mouse.

He has control of your democracy, and the 2004 election is proof. We can take back our country in 2006, but only if we wrench control of the vote from that evil little man.

3. Compared to US he is little.
We must weigh what.... A million pounds?

Lets see 80,000 times 150 pounds each... do the math!

2. I don't think the old Rover
is out of trouble yet with legal matters! You notice we don't hear much from him these days!

13. By "soon" I don't know how quickly,
because it takes time to build a locktight case. I do think we will see justice with this low-life and plenty of his comrades too. I don't think Fitz would have gotten a new Grand Jury or rented an entire suite of offices if this were over with the indictment of Libby. I do think Rover is going down though and he won't be playing politics afterwards!

Keep the faith...redemption for this nation is coming!

6. Yeah, his plan for dismantling Social Security was brilliant!
Edited on Sun Jan-01-06 11:56 PM by TayTay
Just brilliant! He would have Dumbya spend all his hard-earned 'political capital' going around the country getting the populace to clamor for their benefits to be cut. Brilliant! How'd that work out for him anyway? Rove got a unanimous vote in both the House and the Senate and people were just standing around with signs saying, "Please cut Grandma's payments. She doesn't need to eat anyway, cuz she's old."

And hey, how about the Terry Schiavo thing. Boy that was a stroke of Rovian genius. Gee, did you notice how the country rose up as one and demanded that no one on a ventilator ever be allowed to die again. Millions upon millions of people were screaming that their taxes be raised so that terminally ill people could hang around against their own and their families wishes. Wow! That Rove, what a friggin genius. Never saw a success like that one.

And hey, how about that Katrina response. Well, we know Karl was having a boil lanced on his ass at the beginning of Katrina (or something) but hey, didn't he orchestrate that second week response really well? Getting Bush to commend Brownie for doing a 'heck of a job.' What a brilliant strategy. And having Bush fly over New Orleans and dip his planes wings as a salute to the people who were actively suffering at that exact moment right below him, wow! Just wow! I've never seen such genius before.

Karl Rove isn't a genius. He is a cheap thug without a conscience. He doesn't orchestrate brilliant political moves, he goes lowest common denominator and advances his whorish agenda by setting one interest group against another. He is a creature bereft of morals, ethics and a sense of justice or outrage. He is a two-bit whore and I don't fear him or his alleged brilliance at all. He is one indictment away from complete disgrace and irrelevance.

7. Yeah, he's no good....
...like I said, he's an evil little man. I never said he was a genius, or that he provides anything of any value to our democracy.

The things you pointed out - his failures, are to us, just that, failures.
But to his followers it was something that had to be attempted: Eliminate Social Security, make a ruckus over Ms. Schiavo so that the wedge could be driven deeper, and screw New Orleans as a message about the future. In some regards, those moves were successful for his followers alone.

So, what do you think about the way he has finagled the elections? He's sitting in the White House and we aren't. That's pretty much the whole damn story, and it does set his sorry ass on the pedestal, eh?

9. No it doesn't.
He didn't do it without bringing the Abramoff along with him. Every negative action he has taken has a reaction. It might take a while for this to catch up to him, but it will. He and his little tin despot Bush will go down. I believe that because I do believe in the power of democracy and in fighting the good fight and not rolling over and playing dead for little whores like him. (They have, after all, appeared in American history before.)

I grant him nothing but a gift for fakery. This is not the first time in American history that cheats and charlatans have temporarily triumphed. And it won't be the last. And it doesn't change the fact that Rove is a low-life bottom feeder. It does, however, mean we have to work harder on our side to overturn what he has brought about. Again, I believe in democracy and the power to change.

12. I share your sentiments
But the fact is he does run the country, and what he has set in motion will effect it for years to come.

While you and I sit and bitch, he has changed things. I don't like it one bit so don't take it out on me, but work to see that your vote actually does count in the next elction, which is the point of this thread.

11. Bravo .... & I agree!
He's built his rep to the point that most people seem to have started thinking he's omnipotent. And that is probably giving him more pleasure than any woman (or man) ever could ... he's a thug w/access to other people w/power & money, people that know how handy it is to have a lowlife w/no conscience - doing what they haven't the nerve to try themselves. If Fitz gets his hands on him, that power & money goes away - real fast. Then we will see just how cunning & smart he is when he's thrown in w/people that really know how to be ruthless!

I can hardly wait!
