2. Conyers is great.

I just think Franken would keep the audience better. Also, I think Franken would find a way to work Ken Lay's trial, the Bush fear exaggerations, and Bush's history of being wrong about everything into a brilliant, bipartisan joke at Bush's expense. Conyers can lay out the detailed case. Franken has a way with words. O'Reilly's tailspin was started by Franken.

I stopped listening to his show when Katherine left for her book probject. just can't stand to listen to him... he does TERRIBLE radio.

he's not even really that funny... once in a while, he'll come out with something that strikes me as funny, but on balance ... i'd have to say please no!

Thom Hartmann on the other hand would be great... ;)

6. Franken works best with prepared material.

I miss Katherine Lanpher too. She really complemented Franken.

The thing about Franken is that lots of people know his face and like him. He also has a towering gift for wording and timing. I just read his book, The Truth (with Jokes). My take on it was that it had the gravitas of Conason or Corn but with brilliant humor to leaven it.

I really think Franken would put a big harpoon in Bushism with the right setup.

I also like Hartmann and, of course, Boxer and Conyers. I just think Franken would hold the audience far better and leave a real bad burn on Bushism. The other folks, troopers though they are, don't have the personality magic, recognition-factor, and brilliant wit (few do).

13. Well, once he's a senator

from Minnesota he can legitimately give the response to SOTU. That is, if Bush survives that long.

I like Al because he brings on some great people to his show: Joe Conason, Norman Ornstein, Tom Oliphant. Today was a rerun with Studs Terkel. It was great.

He's funny and hip. Young people really like his humor. That counts.

She's been out in front on most everything and is quite well spoken. Conyers would be good also.

He refuses to admit voter fraud is reality and gives daily airtime to Dildoheads and AEI traitors. If we're going to have a radio guy give a response to the SOTU, how about Mike Malloy?

Think the network would cut him off after "Bush Crime Family" or would they wait for "those sons of bitches"? :evilgrin:

Mark Luthor is not on everyday, and when he is, it demonstrates how Rush is an idiot.

Al exposes Rush lies almost everyday.

Al also said that his reaearch team has been in contact with computer experts and they are looking in to voter fraud.

Try listening to the show instead of trashing a popular DEM voice.
