Bush thinks a no vote on the Patriot Act will have a price.
You can tell by the way he said those Senators will have to tell "NY and LA that their cities are more safe now."

The only price I can think of for Senators voting no, is those who voted yes the first time.

Why was it ok in 2001 to "connect the dots" but not okay in 2005?

Here come the overused and predictable flip flop charges.

3. He's going after Reid and Clinton
He knows Hillary can't be defeated in her primary, so I guess he's trying to weaken her '08 hawk stance.

<snip>

"Raising his voice, Bush challenged Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton _ without naming them _ to allow a final vote on legislation renewing the anti-terror Patriot Act. "I want senators from New York or Los Angeles or Las Vegas to explain why these cities are safer" without the extension, he said.

Reid represents Nevada; Clinton is a New York senator, and both helped block passage of the legislation in the Senate last week.

"In a war on terror we cannot afford to be without this law for a single moment," he said.

4. Why does no one, not ANYONE in the press, bring up the 'F's'
that the 9/11 whitewash commission gave him just last week.

"God help us" said the commissioners.

8. THIS particular speech was a "no rebuttal" opportunity ...
Last night and this morning everyone and their mother had an opportunity to rebut chimpy. This morning it will take some time for them all to find a way to get "the base" to realize some very serious charges have been made about this presidents behavior and he needs to answer for them, not make another fear inducing speech for the masses.

10. Carl Levin had a weak rebuttal.
He seemed to be focused on the Iraqi Constitution.

Probably should have focused on the U.S. Constitution.

11. Most of our federal government seems to be focusing on
the Iraqi Constitution rather than the United States Constitution these days. Sad but true...
