Oversight, of govt. activities was what made us the Good Guys in Cold War.
When Glasnost was first coming to the fore. The Soviet Government sent people over here to study government oversight procedures. They understood that this process is what made us a Democracy.

President Bush is throwing over 200 years of freedoms away by not even choosing to use the after action procedures that are available from the FISA court.
