Is that what you Dean bashers want?

Let's just be quiet and say nothing except "God Bless America," because anything else a Democratic politician might say about anything is likely to be either twisted out of context by the GOP and media ho's, or might offend someone somewhere.

Don't say Bush misled, lied, make a mistake or even miscalculated by taking us into Iraq. Gosh that would sound "too far left" for those people who believe PNAC is correct. We certainly can't say anything that the 43 percent of people who still support Bush might disapprove of. Gosh they might even vote Republican again.

Heaven forbid we talk about healthcare reform. Those insurance companies might get a little bit queasy, and start calling us "socialists."

Let's not talk about outsourcing jobs out of the US. We can;t lose that Chinese vote, ya know.

Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil. Yeah, that's the path to victory.

1. Who is saying this? I think Dean is GREAT!!
I like most Democrats, save perhaps Zell and JoeMentum. Before you get too perturbed, consider the source of the criticism, and consider the possible agenda of the critics. When all else fails, try to divide to conquer, perhaps?

4. It's like the mysterious Hillary bashing threads
Those were funny as hell too. They sprung up like a rash, faster than Astroturf before a Bowl game! They said about the woman who has not even declared her candidacy yet that if she even entered the primaries, they would take their ball and go home. So there! Many also averred that any debate was unacceptable, that only THEIR views should hold sway.

Best way to handle that kind of nonsense is just say what you think, don't get upset (there's the goal, you see, to cause angst--divide and conquer) and let them know that by limiting their listening and refusing to hear ALL VOICES, they miss out on the full debate and become uninformed putzes of the Left, remarkably similar to the uninformed putzes of the Right. And real Democrats, as a group, generally, are way too intelligent to not listen.

They don't have to agree, but "He's a poopyhead because he did not say what "I" wanted him to say" is not an argument. And anyone who tosses shit without coming up with a plausible, as opposed to pipe-dream, alternative is just looking for a good old flaming keyboard fight, to make themselves feel bigger. What is it the kids say nowadays, see ya, wouldn't wanna be ya? That's probably the best way of handling people looking for a fight for its' own sake!

2. God forbid we were to repeat what Harold Pinter said about Bush and Blair
He/she would be drawn and quartered!

Pinter Lays It All Out: Indict Bush, Blair
by Matthew Rothschild

Occasionally, an award recipient will chuck the clichés and park the platitudes and actually say something meaningful, something daring.

Such a thing happened on December 7 in Stockholm, when Harold Pinter, the Nobel Prize-winner for Literature, delivered an amazing, taped address.

Taped, because he was too ill to deliver it in person.

But he was by no means weak.

He let Bush have it.

But it wasn’t just Bush.

It was Blair and Britain too, a country he called America’s “own bleating little lamb tagging behind it” on a leash.

Pinter asked, “How many people do you have to kill before you qualify to be described as a mass murderer and a war criminal? One hundred thousand?”

5. yes and for the love of all that is good and holy never never talk about
the ridiculous outrageous executive pay, declining wages, and the widening gap between the rich and middle-class. That will never get the dems votes.

6. Spinners will spin, regardless
Let's just be quiet and say nothing except "God Bless America," because anything else a Democratic politician might say about anything is likely to be either twisted out of context by the GOP and media ho's, or might offend someone somewhere.

This is what I keep saying too. They spin by nature. If it isn't one thing it is another that they'll latch on to. Or if need be, they'll make something up and spin it against the Dems.

Who is the problem?

1. Howard Dean for speaking his mind?

2. Neocon, radical right, and sheep-like media who either have lost their minds or never had any to begin with?

Why oh why must we continue to blame the "victim?"

And demand that Dem leaders dance along a very narrow tightrope for fear of giving the Repubs any grist for their really stinky mill?
