Images like this make me cringe.

I don't care who says the Nazi comparisons are bogus. Shit like this sure as hell IS reminiscent of it.

We've got our own offices of propoganda, bought news, war fears, an image or idea to point hate at, etc.

The whole "Homeland" thing, and all the other big billboard propoganda (Plan for VICTORY) just freak me the hell out. Combine this with all the secrecy, current and sought (new secret agency anyone) and you have one lovely new fascist government. Go ahead, try it out, kick the tires. Isn't it just grand?

1. It's so cheesy. It looks like a scene from a bad miniseries
based on a bad book about a bad president.

6. According to Thom Hartmann, the Nazis first use the word "homeland"
He played a speech of Goebbles (I think) using it for the first time in the '30s.

Just like the Nazi's. EVERYthing. Only thing different is Hitler was actually elected (I've never read if he stole the election or not).

9. 30% of the vote
Between the Nazis, Communists, Social Democrats, and other parties, nobody had a majority so they gave the presidency to Paul von Hindenburg of the Social Democrats and gave the chancellorship to one Adolf Hitler of the NSDAP in a bipartisan power-sharing agreement. Then Hindenburg died.....:scared:

17. It was Reagan
who first used the backdrop images to help during his speeches.
later....

Clinton perfected the rapid response to issues.

NOW...

Bush has integrated both the visual backdrop images and the rapid response to his speeches.

It is a masterful move.

29. Yes there is a Black officer there...
But the militarization of the police and the desire to homogenize the mindset as much as it has become in the military with a right wing cast to it, it doesn't matter.

Negroes are not the wedge issue these days; homosexuals and the new craze of dehumanizing illegal immigrants is the general neocon choice of target to inspire unity through fear and lynch mob like rage.

Things are scary now, but what is really scary is how fast things can - and probably will - get allot worse.

27. Stylized win lightning bolts for one.
Many who admire the cold efficiency of the Waffen S.S. if not their chosen wedge issue of anti-Semitism and exact ideology.

The sword of righteousness is a good feature incorporated in many U.S. Army patches such as the Special Forces crest and the "Electric Butter knife" arrow shaped patch with three lightning bolts to symbolize the three main means of deployment, land, sea and air.

'Electric Butter Knife'

However, in this SWAT Tee shirt, it has a skull impaled on it. The skull is a Waffen SS symbol as well.

And the angle they photographed this from is that Evangelical pulpit look.
