Government crime and corruption
There's been an awful lot of crime, fraud, racketeering, and corruption in government lately. It seems like it just keeps piling up, too. Why all the sudden is there so much crime going on in Washington?

Randy Cunningham, a California representative, pleaded guilty to conspiracy and tax fraud recently, Michael Scanlion, a political insider and lobbyist, is charged with conspiracy to defraud, Adam Taft, another political insider and Congressional hopeful, pleaqded guilty to wire fraud and FECA violations, Tom DeLay stands charged with conspiracy and fraud, Scooter Libby is charged with five counts of obstruction of justice, perjury, and making false statements, James Tobin, another political insider and strategist, is awaiting trial on two charges of conspiracy, Tom Noe an insider and fund raiser, is charged with conspiracy, public corruption, false statements and violations of FECA, and John Colyandro and Jim Ellis, two political consultants and Washington insiders, are facing first-degree felony charges for money laundering and criminal conspiracy.

How did our government become so filled with criminals? Is there a pattern ;)

1. The rest of the world
Has been wondering that since before the last election. I firmly believe that this administration will go down as the most criminal in the history of the US.

4. Me too.
The most corrupt, criminal, and incompetent. In fact, because the Republican Party solidified behind them, they've probably done a hell of a lot of long-term damage to the GOP.

2. Ok this is off topic but I love Boo Radley
Political criminals? None of these bastards could hold an average job if their lives depended on it. Let's just hope they get the opportunity to find that out.

3. Because the Repugs are the party of corruption
that is the only way they can win, because they haven't got a clue how to do anything that would be good for people.

6. Kind of hard to tell
they haven't got a clue how to do anything that would be good for people.

Kind of hard to tell if they know how to do anything that would be good for the people, since they've never actually tried it. ;)

9. Top Ten Things You Never Knew About Jack Abramoff
Top Ten Things You Never Knew About Jack Abramoff

**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit The MadCowMorningNews**
by Daniel Hopsicker

The MadCowMorningNews has learned that the same so-called "war cabal" being accused of selling a "bill of goods" to justify the war in Iraq also led earlier efforts to convince the American people of the necessity of going to war, in support of the Contras in the mid-1980's, and before the Gulf War under the first President Bush, and funded through the same methods and sources being investigated in the Abramoff scandals today.

Evidence surfacing in the widening scandal around Republican super-lobbyist Jack Abramoff indicates the cabal being lavishly funding in recent years though his efforts was originally supported through the infamous "off the books" Enterprise headed by Marine Lt. Colonel Oliver North, only partially exposed in the Iran Contra Scandal.
