this is a rare inside look at just how anti-democratic and un-American the lobbying process really is ... we all know how poisoned our democracy has become but to read about it in a first person account was more than a little disturbing ...

until we get big money out of politics, this form of legalized bribery will continue to destroy our lives by allowing our elected "representatives" to cater only to those who fund them ...

Why do americans ignore the fact that 60% of a DC pol's day is spent on fund-raising?
Why do we think that we still have a democratic republic, with representatives doing their best on our behalf? All of them, bar none, are whores in the worst sense of the word.
