Junior called TEN SOLDIERS and thanked them before his dinner. TEN! WOW!
NEW YORK - After a morning with few major travel problems reported, Americans settled in for a Thanksgiving weekend that began with parades and President Bush calling soldiers stationed around the globe.

“He thanked all of them on behalf of the American people for their service,” said White House spokeswoman Dana Perino. “He said all of them were patriots. He’s very proud of them and thankful for them.”

The president called 10 members of the Coast Guard, Marines, Navy, Air Force and Army before sitting down for dinner with his family at their ranch in Crawford, Texas.

Bush Agenda: Family Time, Plenty of Turkey

By Nedra Pickler / Associated Press

CRAWFORD, Texas - President Bush's Thanksgiving Day agenda was a lot like that of most Americans: time with the family, plenty of turkey and dressing, maybe a nap in front of the Dallas-Denver football game.

Bush and his wife, Laura, are spending six days at their Texas ranch. Twin daughters Barbara and Jenna — who are celebrating their 24th birthday Friday — rode with them Tuesday on Air Force One.

Former President George H.W. Bush and his wife, Barbara, were also on the guest list for Thursday's dinner, along with Laura Bush's mother, Jenna Welch.

Also along for the holiday are the first family's Scottish terriers, Barney and Miss Beazley, and their cat, India.

Couple of quick calls and a nice presidential nap.

11. Remember Clinton?
Every Thanksgiving he and Hillary went down to a homeless shelter and served the people there. Okay, photo-op, but it also spoke volumes.

15. Yeah, Junior and his tribe should've gone to the Crawford homeless
shelter, where they could've served a nice dinner to the Crawford poor (those Crawford citizens who have to get along on only 6-figure incomes.)

14. Oh, I like this part:
CRAWFORD, Texas - "President Bush's Thanksgiving Day agenda was a lot like that of most (filthy rich) Americans: time with the family, plenty of turkey and dressing, maybe a nap in front of the Dallas-Denver football game (or perhaps a drunken fall against the coffee table after indulging in the hard liquor that is so essential to the Bush family tradition.)"
