DNC Releases "No Confidence" Video

Washington, DC - Following a bipartisan "no confidence" vote in the Senate this week, the Democratic National Committee today unveiled a new web video entitled "No Confidence," which highlights the growing dissatisfaction with President Bush and his failing policies. House and Senate Republicans have lost confidence in the Administration's policies and are already worried about appearing with Bush when they campaign for re-election in 2006. In addition, the American people have also lost confidence in the President, as evidenced by the President's falling poll numbers on a range of issues, including his own integrity.

DNC Chairman Howard Dean issued the following statement on the lack of confidence in President Bush's failed leadership:

"Two days ago, Senators from the President's own party joined their Democratic colleagues in casting a 'no confidence' vote. The vote was a bipartisan declaration that the Bush Administration has no plan for Iraq and needs to change course.

"Republicans on the ballot in 2006 are also expressing no confidence in the President and are running away from his failed policies and his falling poll numbers. Some Republicans, including at least one conservative in a safe district, have even said that they don't want to appear with President Bush on the campaign trail.

"The White House and the Republican leadership in Congress must join Democrats in crafting a real strategy for success in Iraq, and to passing legislation that focuses on America's priorities. Together, America can do better."
