16. Murtha will bite their heads off and shit down their necks
For all intents and purposes regarding wars and hawks and all things involving MDK, Murtha is one of them. Let's see if they (Cheney and the girly men of the Pish administration) will challenge him to a fist fight.

6. Yes, let's hear from all the Chickenhawks.
All they need to do is start sliming Murtha. The tide has already turned, whether the chickenhawks realize it or not.

If they go after Murtha, it will simply accelerate their official death.

Edited on Fri Nov-18-05 02:06 PM by raysr
'Yet, in response to Murtha's announcement, some Democrats seemed to leap at the chance to embarrass themselves, and publicly flaunt just how nauseatingly spineless they are. And there is no better example of this than Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-IL) in today's Washington Post. Here is the excerpt -- try not to projectile vomit all over your computer screen when you read it:

"Murtha's Democratic colleagues reacted warily to his remarks, while Republicans pounced. Rep. Rahm Emanuel (Ill.), head of the House Democrats' campaign effort, said, 'Jack Murtha went out and spoke for Jack Murtha.' As for Iraq policy, Emanuel added: 'At the right time, we will have a position.'"

13. Way to show some traditional democrat spine, Emanuel
"Emanuel added: 'At the right time, we will have a position.'"

Wow, way to go out on a limb there buddy.
It appears to me that Emanuel already has a position - bent over with his head planted firmly up his ass.

Murtha, on the other hand, is the Man. I especially loved his reply to cheney's criticism:
"I like guys who've never been there that criticize us who've been there. I like that. I like guys who got five deferments and never been there and send people to war, and then don't like to hear suggestions about what needs to be done."

23. I was stationed in Saudi Arabia in 96
as part of a joint exercise (Southern Watch). Thousands of Air Force personnel, hundreds of Sailors, hundreds of Soldiers, but we had one dozen Marines - I felt safe. They were crazy yahoo motherfuckers but I was glad they were close to my hootch. Their mission was to track down terrorists who were tracking us; and they loved every second of it. Lunatics. I love em.

Thanks.

I had two buddies at TWA who were former Marine Aviators.
Going pub crawling with those two was not for the faint of heart, but was the best damn show I've seen in a bar EVER.
And I'm counting nekkid women.

I was always proud they let this ANG weenie tag along and kept me from getting my ass whupped, mostly.

22. But, but, but..George Bush is a War Hero, isn't he?
How could anyone, even Murtha, possibly measure up to Bush's Heroic Accomplishments as a "special" appointee to the Texas Air National Guard.

If I am not mistaken, he was singled out for Special Medal for Conspicuous Desertion -- Beyond Basic Human Responsibility and Decency.

26. They won't be able to handle the truth
I recall a movie a few years back where Tommy Lee Jones played a Marine Corps Colonel crossing swords with the national security advisor near the end of the movie. The NSA was getting pissy and asked the Colonel if "that" was a threat. I don't recall what "that" was but the Colonel said "you ever have a pissed off Marine after you" then turned around and walked out of the office. The NSA was colorless and he eventually lost the argument and his job.

"You want me on that wall, you need me on that wall."
