Buzzflash: Does Bush Lie Because He's Too Lazy to Tell the Truth?
Does Bush Chronically Lie Because He's Too Lazy to Tell the Truth?

http://www.buzzflash.com/analysis/05/11/ana05040.html

We were listening to Al Franken's Air America Program on Thursday and heard an author commenting on why "Baby Doc" Bush lies. He said that he doesn't think it's well-thought out and strategic; it's just easier for Bush than telling the truth.

For instance, if he had to admit that we torture people in order to argue for the Cheney full court press on the Senate to continue torturing people, that would make too much work for Bush. People would get all upset and reporters might actually do their jobs and get pesky. So, it's just easier to lie -- and George is one lazy guy when it comes to his work ethic, always has been.

On Veterans Day, on the defensive (a good sign), Bush is going to claim Democrats saw the same intelligence on Iraq he did. Well, not really, because he saw the intelligence before it was "fixed." The Democrats saw it after Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice and Bush manipulated the intelligence and forced the CIA to come up with speculation, no matter how doubtful, and turn it into propaganda factoids -- along with assistance from Rumsfeld's "little neo-con elves of deception" shop over at the Defense Department. So the Democrats voted to authorize Bush to go to war based on lies and only if all U.N. options were exhausted, which they weren't.

But you won't hear that from Bush, because the truth would cause him a needless hassle from a guy the press observes to see if he is smiling and comfortable with himself, as if it is OUR job is to make sure that he is happy. Wouldn't you think it's Bush's job to protect us, be honest, and think of the nation before thinking of expanding his imperial powers and making the wealthier wealthier?

7. Exactly! "Truth"is simply NOT in a sociapath's vocabulary .
Truth simply does not 'serve' them. 'Me' personalities are never interested in anything that does not directly 'serve' their Reality. And Truth never does that.

2. He doesn't think he IS lying
he thinks he is putting it simply for the American people to be able to understand him. Unfortunately, it gets TWISTED in the interpretation.

6. Junior IS a disease...he's a cancer on decent, civilized society
He needs to be cut out...and once that's done, then hopefully the nation AND the world can start trying to heal.

4. This just emphasizes the empty content of his character. It's
so sad he has a position of such responsibility.

5. WTF is Junior doing in that picture? It's OFFICIAL, he IS a monkey
Jaysus, I've seen MANY expressions like the one Junior's doing in the Monkey House at the zoo.

Does he practice pulling these stupid monkey faces, or are they just like...spontaneous?

Oh, in response to does Junior lie because he's lazy. Well, he is a lazy SOB that's for sure. However Junior lies because he's a complete sociopath suffering from delusions of grandeur. He's a habitual and pathological liar, he lies every time he opens his mouth, he tells so many lies that to him they're the truth.

Now, with yesterdays truly offensive "speech", which had NOTHING to do with honoring Veterans...Junior's now lying about lying about why he lied to take the country into a pointless and wasteful war.

9. he is a sociopath and incapable of not lying
like all "conservatives," he is intellectually lazy and/or knows that the truth conflicts with his world view. Therefore, he, like all his ilk (Ronnie Raygun was over the top on this) just makes shit up to bolster his arguments and to mask his raw greed.
