New Rasmussen 2008 Poll.

Election 2008

Clinton 43%
Gore 14%
Edwards 13%
Kerry 10%

Election 2008 (w/o Clinton and Gore)

Kerry 38%
Edwards 28%
Biden 6%
Clark 6%
Richardson 5%

Also included in the survey were Senators Evan Bayh and Russ Feingold and Governors Tom Vilsack and Mark Warner. None of these candidates attract 5% of the vote at this time.

in the past few days for his role in Kaine winning in Virginia.

3. True. His numbers will shoot up over the next couple months.
But this poll is news none the less. So I decided Id post it regardless of whether or not I liked the results.

What is one thing that Evan Bayh, Russ Feingold, Tom Vilsack, and Mark Warner have in common? THEY DONT HAVE ANY.

Biden ran for President once, Clark ran for President once, and obviously everybody knows who Kerry, Edwards, and Clinton are.

5. Presidential primary polls
at this point are useless. They just gauge name identification.

6. In 1991 Jerry Brown and Mario Cuomo led the poll.
Cuomo of course never ran and Brown never really was all that much of a contender.

7. At this time 4 years ago....
Pollsters weren't even bothering to INCLUDE Howard Dean in '04 presidential polls, back in 2001 and 2002.
