HELP! The talking heads said the RW base was angry re: Miers
hence, the lackluster poll numbers.

But, since the RW zealot's wet-dream Alito has been nominated, those poll numbers continue to slide.

Review the numbers from Miers nomination, through her withdrawal, into Alito's nomination. I don't think it was ever his zealot base that deserted him. I think it's the moderates/independents.

1. Bunch of TH on TV the other night blaming it on the Democrats!
Some of them are such whores they can't even bring themselves to acknowledge the scores of Reich Wingers for whom Harriet was not Reich Wing enough.

What a bunch of schizo flakes. Must be what they had for breakfast, along with a dose of Koolade.

2. I didn't hear very much from Democrats at all about Miers.
The rightwingers doomed her nomination. Even with Bush trying to convince them that she would always vote the "right way". They wanted someone with a clear record of seeing things their way.

3. Exactly, the Democrats didn't need to waste oxygen on her...the Reich
Wing did it for them.
But for the intellectually lazy, it's SO much easier to blame everything on Democrats. After all, the reThuglicans are God's Own Party (Jerry Fallwell SAID so!) so nothing they do can be wrong, right???

4. He's bleeding independents and moderate Pukes
His base understands the coded language enough to know that the Meirs nomination was a ploy to cloud the news cycle while Bush's little Scooter got handed his nice, shiny indictments.

Some of Bush's present supporters would kill for him, I would wager. Those kind of peple are not going to lose loyalty because Bush made an "oopsie" surrounded by coded language. Remember all that weird "she is a good Christian woman" talk (said with a wink)?

5. Agree with you. I think that "bleed" will trickle down into Congress 06
The corruption isn't limited to the WH and thanks to DeLay and Frist, we have a complete set of poster boys/girls for investigations/indictments.

The zealots, who wanted, and now have, control of the Repub party will end up being it's only votes too.
