1. I say do it

by the end of the 2006 election if we control congress and with the poll and everything. Impeach him.

2. I think we need a 15-20% margin before we use the "i" word

If we take back the House and Senate and immediately start pushing for impeachment, like it or not a big chunk of the country will go, "Oh, see, they're just like the Republicans after all--we put them in power, and now all they can think about is payback." Then we get screwed in 2008.

I'm not saying I LIKE this school of thought, I'm just saying it's a potential trap we have to negotiate carefully. Maybe it's better for us to let the public KNOW that we think Bush is guilty, but in the name of "national unity" we're deciding to let him sleaze his way out of his office with the stain left on his presidency.

This is a valid issue that will help point out the differences between Democrats, who value the rule of law and the Constitution, and the neo-con Repukes, who value money above all else.
