1. I just voted and wonder ...
why in the hell anyone would say just move on? Let me rephrase ... why would 20,202 people want to just move on? Jeez, their noses must be seriously embedded in Bush's ass.

6. The "Fanatical Cult" would die for junior.
"Remember the metaphor of is . This is a powerful metaphor. What do people do in a powerful cult? They follow the leader, they are loyal no matter what, the word of the leader comes before all else, they never admit fault in the leader, they would die for the leader, if the leader says it's right than it's right, and so forth."

2. Why would 29% of Americans not want answers for going to war....
in Iraq. I just can't understand their thought process, regardless of their political affiliation.

5. because rightwing media talking heads, faux and some ministers
have convinced them that this is all a partisan "witch hunt" to be prevented at all costs.

Of course they are being told that because those doing the telling fear their own loss of power and $$$ if the public were to turn on them for propping up those who would lie us into war.

3. Please recall recent polls stating most americans
would support impeachment if it were the case that bushco LIED about prewar intel.

Point - most americans now recognize that what we were told was not the truth. That has penetrated the public psyche.

Point - most americans still have a hard time fathoming any administration acting in such bad faith to the american people as to intentionally lie us into an elective war - but at the same time no longer instinctively reject the suggestion (that it was intelligent)

Implied point - many would like to know - and that is where popular opinion has moved to putting congress (GOP) into a rock and a hard-place... they are up for reelection and thus subject to public opinion. Do they keep trying to obfuscate for the pres and risk their own necks? Do they put a pretend hearing on? Or do they viciously turn... claiming they were lied to by the admin as well - that the intel that was presented to them before the war vote was fixed (that came out in the first senate intel hearings - that the original NIE had caveats and footnotes qualifying the various intel claims ... but somehow the version that was presented to Congress was a stripped down version... the intel claims were there... but the caveats qualifying the claims were not.)?

Interesting times, aren't they.

9. Me, I thought the debate should have occurred before the war.
But Bush didn't, so he just made shit up, ignored all the contrary facts, marginalized and attacked any opposition, and preyed upon our fears.

Where were all these people then? Where was Congress? Where was the CIA?

10. The people were being frightened by the folks that just claimed
the moral high ground.

Bashing Clinton was the "in thing" and loving junior with sweet words as our savior was the popular thing to do in those times.

But the fact that 2/3rds support what Reid did means we've done a really good thing!

14. I've noticed every time on these CNN & MSNBC polls that
when the administration is being creamed in the poll they take it off line.

This poll is now down.
