Focusing solely on *
is a mistake. You know why? He does that little annoying "The big bad libruls are pickin' on me. I didn't do nuthin' wrong" routine. It makes him a tempting target. The whole range of RW legislators--more precisely, the whole GOP--needs to be the focus. It is not just one man, but a whole party and ideology that needs to be held accountable. Instead of unloading an elephant gun on a pissant, use the poison dart on the elephant.

1. You are right, I think
focusing on Bush allows the reicht wingers to simply dismiss us with "they are Bush haters", implying that there isn't a thing wrong with their agenda. We need to let people know about the corruption and cronyism that permeates the GOP.

3. I agree. Good luck getting that point to sink in though...
Just ain't gonna happen. And definitely not on here. I don't know how indicative our little DU community is of the world in general or even the dem party in general. But we sure do love to fixate. Whether it's our latest messiah of the week who everyone fixates on as the one who is going to lead us out of this morass or whether it's bush or any other boogeyman of the week. Multi-tasking is not a strong suit.

4. The Republican Culture of Corruption
Edited on Tue Nov-01-05 08:09 AM by SpiralHawk
has now given birth to that most heinous* of possibilities:

A White House staffed with Traitors.

And Propagandists.

Covering up for an AWOL Incompetent C-student Connecticut Preppy Cheerleader Pet Goat.

Talk about a Halloweeen Nightmare.

* heinous: Grossly wicked or reprehensible; abominable.

7. Double-Edged Sword...He's Still Getting A Free Pass
Democrats won't win next year running against booosh...they can only win running against corrupt Repugnicans. We tried the popularity route last year and it didn't quite work...the game has to be played very locally...district by district...issue by issue and allow the continuing scandals to consume the Repugnicans.

It's still frustrating as the corporate media constantly looks ways to "pump up" booosh...making his problems look better than what they are or to insulate him from the crinimality going on under his watch and on our dime!

He's all but skipped blame for the Plame scandal, walked away from Katrina battered but still standing and has yet to be held accountable for the disaster of an economy this country is now confronted with. The Tweetys and Wolfies who want that access, need that ego-boost of feeling like they're a mover and shaker and the other perks that go with riding the crests of money and power know that they won't be riding this high when the booosh gravy train comes off the rails.
