Mutiny over at AOL? (Bush AOL polling numbers)
I know alot of you hate (especially the lounge) when people ask to DU polls because they really dont mean anything but you have to check this out:

http://aolsvc.news.aol.com/news/article.adp?id=20051031100009990034&ncid=NWS00010000000001

There are some numbers here that I have never seen before. Usually AOL is so Repuke, but not today. I dont believe that all of these numbers are coming from Democrat and Liberal bloggers.

What do you think?

Here are some sample numbers:

How would you rate Samuel Alito as a Supreme Court pick?
Poor 45%
Excellent 30%
Fair 16%
Good 9%

How would you rate Bush's overall choices?
Poor 59%
Excellent 19%
Good 15%
Fair 8%
Total Votes: 134,583

What choice should Bush make regarding Cheney?
Let him go 65%
Keep him 35%
Total Votes: 90,780

Especially this one!

What choice should Bush make regarding Rove?
Let him go 74%
Keep him 26%
Total Votes: 90,907

12. I think so too
Hopefully all these people go out next year and vote for progressive democrats. None of this means anything unless they go out and vote for change.

2. The rats are jumping ship ...
A coworker said she read an interesting article in which "red state" and "blue state" was debunked; that most people aren't that much different, and that we hear more from the extreme right and left.

So, maybe Alito's track record has all types upset!

7. There are more questions
About Social Security, Economy, Terrorism. he's bombing. People no longer believe a word he says. Republicans have become widely known as dishonest, self-serving, false, and in many cases criminals.

Is there no lower response than poor? Like venal or corrupt?

14. Watch out.. The way the choices are ranked is "odd" to say the least
Usually polls have an order to them.. These migth just have the "numbers" switched around when they change the choices.. This has been done before.. not AOL, but one night I was screen capping a poll that had NO as the first choice..and all evening the numbers built, and then all of a sudden. YES was the top choice, but the numbers for the top choice remained what they had been for "No"..

A negative response is rarely the first choice.. Watch this one

17. These AOL polls have really done an about-face.
They used to be Freeper Central.

They always garner nearly 100,000 respondents, and the fact that they reflect more the mood around here than at FR is the best evidence that people are waking up and spitting out the Kool-Aid.

22. Done and.....the Issues too....
Yes, AOL is deeply rooted in Freeperdom. These numbers are a very good sign people have just had enough! His numbers on the issues (scroll down at the link) certainly reflect those "scientific" control group polls too.

Poor 65%
Excellent 17%
Good 11%
Fair 8%

How would you rate Bush's choices on Social Security?

23. Its all about the price at the pump to most of those people....
Bush could be raping nuns and having Iraqi "terrorist" children shot and they'd still give him high marks. But raise the price of gas they have to put in their SUV or old ass clunker and they barbecue his ass.

Yikes. AOL is really repuke. I got into their stupid dicussion forums once and those people are RABID Kool-Aid drinkers. It wasn't even intelligent discourse and I never returned. This is interesting, but I have no explanation, except that he is an idiot. But you knew that didn't you?

on edit: holy crap! Keep scrolling the rest of the pages. He's not even garnering 35% support of Fair or better! It's really really bad out there. All the more reason to make sure Americans see this is not just Bush, this is the REPUBLICANS including ANY who are running for office this coming election season ('05 AND '06).
