Who would match up well as Veep on an Edwards ticket?
He's not as young as he looks, but he does have only the one senate term under his belt- you'd need someone with some experience, but not so much that he overpowers Edwards...any ideas?

That's the problem I see with an Edwards run- who to put on the ticket.
I think that Ford from Tennesee would be a good match, but I think that then the overall ticket would appear too young and in-experienced all the way around.
Graham from FL would make it seem like an upside-down ticket...

3. Clark.
...maybe Kerry...

I think we would totally own an Edwards v. Bush debate - which one is more likeable? which one is the regular guy?

Also, a Clark v. Cheney debate - who knows defense now?

6. Cheney might not be Bush's veep
But regardless, Bush and Cheney are not formidable debaters. However, being the incumbents, they may decline any debates whatsoever. I wouldn't put it past them.

7. Clark all the way.
Every Southern state will be in play and Bush will not be able to campaign exclusively in FL, PA, OH, etc.

8. Senator Dianne Feinstein
– It would set up an East Coast/West Coast team (instead of a North/South)

12. ...interesting...
I actually first met Edwards when I was an intern in Senator Feinstein's office...

...I can't help but think that DiFi is eyeing the CA governorship though...

14. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarg!
Not her. We need someone with a backbone, personality, eye-contact, awareness and maybe some charisma. She's just another clueless ex-debutante wanderer of fortunate circumstances and middling centrism at best.

10. You are all wrong
Edwards, with a more experienced person, would be like the Clinton a small state governor, selecting Gore...a person with more inside experience in Washington...either Kerry or Dean.

Sorry, I couldn't resust. I had visions of SNL and Dan Quayle played by a little blond boy in a suit - and Poppy would take him on his knees...
