Attention Democratic leaders: America is ready for CHANGE
Edited on Thu Oct-27-05 07:37 AM by niceypoo
This mantra needs to be repeated over and over until the midterms. Now is the time to start. Anti-GOP sentiment is beginning to peak. This fact needs to be burned into peoples minds. If the democratic leadership sits on its hands while all this is going on they will blow the opportunity of a generation. They don't need to agree on every issue, they need only agree on one thing: America is ready for CHANGE. Clinton ran on this message the first time he was elected. Its an all encompassing position. It appeals to the pissed off masses. It is positive and even pissed off republicans have to admit that it is a necessity.

One more term that needs to be repeated over and over is "The GOP is trying to 'REINVENT' itself", because that's exactly what they will have to do if they want to stay in keep power. Their agenda has been rejected and they know it. Every time they change their positions from those of the Bush administration or those of the last five years (They have been 'rubber stampers') the term "Reinvent" must be mentioned. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, even though it says otherwise, its a duck.

1. The people want change, and will listen to a bold agenda
We can run on these themes:

1)End the war(enough said)
2)Health care for all
3)Rebuild America(disaster zones and the rest. Rebuild and do it
at fair wages with environmental protection.)
4)Power to the People(electoral reform, open government, accountability)

Hit these four themes over and over and over again, and we will win solidly in 2006 AND 2008.

If we fight, we can win. If we fudge, we fail.

2. A social moderate with pro middle class economic agenda will win easily
A progun, moderate who talks about and has a plan on bring back good jobs and protecting the working class from corporate America will clean the rethugs clock.

3. Yep, the GOP is trying to
"go back to the future." Didn't work then, doesn't work today, won't work tomorrow. If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got.

4. There's a word for that ...
... doing the same thing, but expecting a different result ...
