Is now the time?
There is something I have always thought, when the chips start to fall, will be done by the powers in this administration:

Namely: If the fall of the Administration is unavoidable, pin it on Bush.

I've thought all along that Bush has been a stooge. He has a name and is just smart enough to train with the right words (barely), but just dumb enough to be unable to defend himself in this type of circumstance. IMHO, Cheney, and maybe others, may be in DC right now, setting these wheels in motion.

Fitzgeralds investigation is too close to Cheney, beginning to look too likely to tear him illustriously from power. The man is too connected to go down without a fight. If he (and others?) roll over for Fitz, consistently playing the "just following Bushs orders" card, can they escape?

Thus I ask: Is this their time to act?

1. I'll bet he (shrub) could be taught to use tools.... if need be.... like
our military, our national guard, our healthcare system, our treasury, our trust in the world, our national soul.... yes, he could be trained to use tools, or to use things that are not his as tools.

2. I'm down with that...
Libby, Rove, Cheney, Rice, Matlin...they all can walk.

I just want to see the murder monkey in handcuffs on national television.

Then I want to see every right wing, conservative, god fearing, fundies head explode.

That would be cool.

5. If true, then I think we'd be nabbing the wrong guy.
I certainly think Bush is the worst President ever, and has likely done enough to deserve impeachment all on his own. However, I don't see him being the true power player here. I see that being Cheney, and perhaps Rumsfeld, with Rove, Libby and Condi (currently) acting in supporting roles.

Bush is, I think, a stooge. A puppet. Placed promimently enough that, should the situation warrant, his downfall will drown out all other items, such as Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rove, Libby and Condi getting off with wrist slaps for having served up the POTUS.

Fitz has provided room for last minute maneuvers and confessions. Will anyone take advantage of that chance?

3. What are the odds?
...that the Cheney-Rumsfeld cabal will precipitate a "new Pearl harbor" so that they can accomplish their true mission: the installation of a thoroughly fascist government?

On October 13 the DoD (Dept. of Defense) and the CIA announced the new program, "The National Clandestine Service," designed to coordinate all of the spying on U. S. citizens. I would love to know how much of a file they have on each of us here at DU.

4. My original post was about 2 things.
The subject of your comment was the 2nd. I editing the post before hitting "post" to focus the subject, as I feel there are plenty of posts regarding MIHOP like ruses. I haven't seen much regarding the potential of Cheney rolling on Bush.

6. One problem with this...
Bush may be a plant. He may indeed be a puppet. But there's one thing ol' JimBeam George has over all of them. He has the power and they do not. He is the one who can order the military. He has control over the (gulp) nuclear football. He is the only one with pardon power. He could fire them all tomorrow and they would have to simply bend to his will.

Kind of scary, isn't it.

7. I totally agree..
.... with the premise that Bush** is a stooge. That much is really not subject to much debate IMHO.

But I will be surprised if he takes the fall. I don't think the handlers can pull it off. Nothing would make me happier, his stupid strut morphing into a depressed shuffle would be good for the country.

But I don't think it is going to happen.

8. Don't think for a minute that the Bush Dynasty isn't working
behind the scenes to protect the namesake. Papa and Barbara are very powerful and I would pick them to win this cock fight over Cheney anyday. Tricky Dick is there because Papa declared it would be so.

10. I guess that would depend on whether or not the previous leak
was something Papa agreed with but it backfired so he had to take action. I really don't know the particulars of it. Those were my wild and crazy days!

11. You can "bet your boots"
on that! Just go to <www.OldAmericanCentury.org> and read the document, "The Bush Crime Family." Their crimes and their power go back several generations.

What a drama we're living; hope it won't be "An American Tragedy."
