What does this -July 2003- Drudge Report headline mean about Cheney...
Edited on Wed Oct-19-05 01:39 AM by file83
To set this up, we all know that on July 6, 2003, Joeseph Wilson wrote his famous "What I Didn't Find in Africa" article.
Then, of course, on July 14, 2003, Robert Novak published his article entitled "Mission to Niger" in which he outed Valerie Plame.

But then check this out...most people haven't noticed this.

Two days later, on July 16, 2003, at 10:36PM GMT, the Drudge Report suddenly presents the following "Developing..." headline:

"Vice President Cheney is telling House GOP leaders that Bush administration is getting ready to go on a public relations offensive in attempt to recast the debate on Niger and WMD, including bringing back Mary Matalin for spin control... Developing..."

Then at 2:29 PM GMT, July 17, 2003, less than 16 hours later, the "Developing..." story disappears and is never seen again.

The Question:
Is it a coincidence that Cheney announced an active "public relations offensive" against Joeseph Wilson and that Novak outed Wilson's wife only two days earlier?

Could the "CIA leak" have been part of this PR offensive?

Notice the timing. Look carefully. My red flags are up on this one. What is your take on this? Is it nothing?

3. Maybe Matt needs to talk to Fitzgerald.....
Cheney was the architect...sort of goes along with this post that might give a fresh perspective on Cheney's actions during that time frame:
