Two things. One today's headlines should have read...
.."New Hampshire Primary: NOTHING SPECTACULAR OR UNEXPECTED HAPPENED."

I mean, people are going crazy because Kerry was first and Dean was second. Okay, so in a ULTRALIBI-WHITE (ultralibi = ultraliberal) Northeastern state that is obviously out of touch with the rest of the country when 75% of the democrats there support same sex unions (basically marriage) and only 0.79% of the population is black, TWO NORTHEASTERNERS FROM BORDERING STATES finished first and second, and the two southerners, finished in a statistical tie for third with Clark getting less than 1,000 more votes than Edwards although Edwards split last week flying back and forth between NH and SC with Clark being in NH nonstop for the past 3 weeks so if Edwards would have stayed there all week, then he probably would have finished in a strong third...BASED ON THE RESULTS LAST NIGHT...New Hamphire didn't do anything spectacular. The guy from Massachussets and the guy from Vermont were 1 and 2, so what?

I don't think last night's results mean NEARLY AS MUCH as the media tried to make them mean.

Second thing.

If you want to bring down John Kerry, and believe me I do, because I want to vote in 2004, and I AIN'T VOTING PERIOD IF IT IS SKULL AND BONES VERSUS SKULL AND BONES, then bombard MSNBC or Tom Brokaw or whoever with demands for one question and one question alone to be asked of John Kerry at tomorrow's debate!!! We need at least 50 people to email a version of this question to Tom Brokaw for John Kerry.

"Senator Kerry, you and George W. Bush are both members of SKULL AND BONES, which is more than just a college fraternity. It is an elite secret society. What does that mean, and isn't it true that if there is a race between one Bonesman, yourself, and another Bonesman, George W. Bush, that the United States will lose no matter who it choses because of Skull and Bones' agenda?"

Email Tom Brokaw any question for Kerry dealing with Skull and Bones if MSNBC allows for email questions, and demand that he ask a question to Kerry about Skull and Bones! Kerry won't know what to do. Tim Russert asked him about it last year on MTP and he said, "NOTHING, BECAUSE IT'S A SECRET." Well, that's not a good enough answer in a debate with millions of Americans watching! If he throws out that "it's a secret" crap his candidacy is going to nosedive right along with Skull and Bones' dream matchup of Bush v. Kerry!

Email Brokaw...

7. Is Broken-Jaw the only one asking questions, or is there a panel?
And if so, who else is on the panel? Yeah, I know they're all media whores, but maybe one of them will show some balls. (Yes, I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one....)

2. NH is a conservative state - it can not be
characterized as ultra-liberal or even liberal without causing laughter.

I didn't read the rest as soon as I saw the tired old S&B.

5. who cares about "NEW HAMPSHIRE" as a whole
I'm talking about the idiots who voted who actually think that Howard Dean and John Kerry are the most electable.

Based on the exit polls, their stupidity reveals why they believe that.

10. This is silly. Kerry isn't my candidate but I think it is ridiculous to
Edited on Wed Jan-28-04 01:19 PM by lovedems
discount the voters of New Hampshire and Iowa. All of these candidates canvassed the states and really were able to present a personal message to the voters. I am jealous, I will only get what I see on television. The voters liked what they saw and they liked the message. Am I thrilled beyond belief that Kerry won? No. But I am not willing to participate in a stop Kerry campaign because I trust the voters and I am willing to wait and see what the next several weeks bring.

Edit: I am not willing to stop ANY democrat running for president. I am excited that the democratic party is very united right now and I am going to say it is stupid to act in any way that would be divisive. If you don't want to vote, that is your perogotive but I wish people on DEMOCRATIC underground would stop bashing the democrats they don't like. Like it or not, we are all on the same side with the same goal in mind.

13. I really, REALLY, do not care
The bottom line is that any place, ANY PLACE, where 75% of the electorate supports same sex unions is out of touch with America as a whole, and the way they voted is typical.

I don't care about NH's role historically, the more the dates on the calendar increase, the more liberal the entire country gets, and the more liberal NH's DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY VOTERS get. If you would have asked that question 10 years ago, it wouldn't have been over 70% for that question.

And as far as where I live, I can't stand the conservative dogma that is prevelant here.

I AM A MODERATE, AND I DON'T LIKE EITHER EXTREME, PERIOD!

And as far as "bringing down ANY Democrat."

John Forbes (hello steve forbes) Kerry is not a Democrat, I don't care the label or the voting record. Skull and Bones OWNS THE SPECIAL INTERESTS, and until you all realize that, you are going to keep srewing up the country by voting for the same JOKE candidates who promise you things but work behind the scenes FOR THE PEOPLE who own the special interest.

15. I wish you luck on your campaign
Because you are going to need it. If you are looking for a perfect candidate, good luck because you are going to need it.

I wish you realize who the real enemy and who the real candidate is who needs to be stopped instead of focusing your energy on a fellow democrat. And I really, REALLY, do not care to be told Kerry isn't a democrat. He isn't my first choice but that doesn't make him any less of a democrat.

14. I refuse.
I refuse to vote for Kerry, he's with Skull and Bones.

I refuse to vote for Dean, he's a Northeastern Liberal.

I refuse to vote for Clark, he was in the military for 20 years.

I refuse to vote for Kucinich, he's too liberal.

I refuse to vote for Lieberman, he's Bush lite.

I refuse to vote for Sharpton, he's unelectable.

I refuse to vote for anyone, because there's always a excuse.

Excuse me while I go stick my head in the sand and hope the problems go away without my input.

17. a couple of things back at ya ...
One: I was in Skull & Bones (not at Yale -- so it was more of a drinking club for student leaders than a secret society). When you're a kid in college, and thinking about your resume, and getting a job after college, and getting involved in whatever you can to broaden your experience and networking and all that, sometimes you get involved in groups you might not get involved in if you could go back with a 50-year-old's perspective. And if you're a kid of privilege, going to Yale, and someone taps you for the creme-de-la-creme group on campus with all the other kids of privilege ... well, maybe a 20-year-old doesn't want to turn that down. So, you're gonna sue him for that in 2004? After he put his ass so firmly on the line in Vietnam while some of those other Bonesmen were drinking margaritas and avoiding national guard service?

I'm sure it helped him to get better connected toward fulfilling his ambitions (Senate, lt. governor, etc.). OK. So we start from there ... so he got into the Senate, and now he's the guy in the race with the most foreign AND domestic policy experience. It all LED to something substantial for him; he's made a contribution. Unlike our pitiful excuse for a pResident.

Two: Who says Kerry embraces the "Skull & Bones" agenda? Sure, what we've heard about the Yale brand of S&B is appalling. But who says just cuz he was a member in college (or even has kept in touch with his fellow bonesmen) that he's a part of the Bush faction of all that? Being a sometimes-liberal-sometimes-moderate Democrat, I'm sure he rejects a lot of what he might hear at The Tomb from the Rethugs.

I'm not into elitism -- believe me. My Skull & Bones beanie packed away in storage notwithstanding. But as HawkerHurricane says, we can find something negative about every one of these guys. But complete idealism about these guys is a luxury the Democratic party can't afford this year. It's gotta be electability. Because we must have Bush outta there. Abe Lincoln is dead and buried ... presidential candidates are just not born in log cabins anymore.

18. What do you have to hide John Kerry???
So, some people here don't mind voting for someone who is not being honest with them?

I'm sorry, I'm not that crazy.

MR. RUSSERT: You both were members of Skull and Bones, a secret society at Yale. What does that tell us?

SEN. KERRY: Not much, because it’s a secret.

MR. RUSSERT: Is there a secret handshake? Is there a secret code?

SEN. KERRY: I wish there were something secret I could manifest there.

MR. RUSSERT: Three twenty-two, a secret number?

SEN. KERRY: There are all kinds of secrets, Tim. But one thing is not a secret. I disagree with this president’s direction that he’s taking the country. We can do a better job. And I intend to do it.

MR. RUSSERT: And we’ll be watching. Be safe on the campaign trail. John Kerry, thanks for joining us.

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/3080246/

What's so secretive about it John Kerry? Why can't you be OPEN with the people you expect to vote for you?

Like I said, if you are willing to vote for someone who is not being straight with you, then so be it.

Drink the Kool-aid without knowing what's in it. Don't begin complaining when you can't breathe...

19. Non-Yale Skull & Bones, Really!?
Edited on Wed Jan-28-04 03:13 PM by HereSince1628
Ok this may be stupid to ask because its a secret order.

But having read a couple of articles about this, it is always only mentioned at Yale, and in one of the articles it was said to exist only at Yale...

What other campus has a chapter of 322, The Order, Russell Trust, or any of the other known names?
