"Mankind must put an end to war--or war will put an end to man..."
http://www.jfklibrary.org/j092561.htm

Address Before the General Assembly of the United Nations
President John F. Kennedy
New York City
September 25, 1961

<snip>

For in the development of this organization rests the only true alternative to war--and war appeals no longer as a rational alternative. Unconditional war can no longer lead to unconditional victory. It can no longer serve to settle disputes. It can no longer concern the great powers alone. For a nuclear disaster, spread by wind and water and fear, could well engulf the great and the small, the rich and the poor, the committed and the uncommitted alike. Mankind must put an end to war--or war will put an end to mankind.

1. Those words to do be repeated over and over again.
Mankind must put an end to war--or war will put an end to mankind.
Mankind must put an end to war--or war will put an end to mankind.
Mankind must put an end to war--or war will put an end to mankind.
Mankind must put an end to war--or war will put an end to mankind.
Mankind must put an end to war--or war will put an end to mankind.
Mankind must put an end to war--or war will put an end to mankind.
Mankind must put an end to war--or war will put an end to mankind.
Mankind must put an end to war--or war will put an end to mankind.
Mankind must put an end to war--or war will put an end to mankind.
Mankind must put an end to war--or war will put an end to mankind.
Mankind must put an end to war--or war will put an end to mankind.

2. Mankind must put an end to war--or war will put an end to mankind.
Time for a DU bumpersticker.

I truly belive that. Unfortunately, I am in the minority. The human race LOVES war and aggression. Too many countries now have the bomb. We are now in an even a more dangerous place than we ever have been. If we don't ALL disarm, it will be the end to mankind.

9. Where is the funding for a Peace Dept? Where is the Passion for
Better? We should be solving. We should be going places, doing good things. Building better, more efficient, safer, and pleasing to the eye.

There are tons of things we should be doing but hampered/stifled by WAR...which is obsolete as a way to solve differences. War only sucks up precious resources no end.

11. Even greater words.....
Darkness cannot drive out darkness;
only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate;
only love can do that.
Hate multiplies hate
violence multiplies violence,
and toughness multiplies toughness
in a descending spiral of destruction....
The chain reaction of evil--
hate begetting hate,
wars producing more wars--
must be broken, or we shall be plunged
into the darkness of annihilation.

DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.
