Miers was non-legal job as Asst to Pres. until Feb 2005
Miers didn't even have a legal job at the White House until February.

So she was just another POLITICAL ADVISOR. Not only was she not working as a lawyer, but anyone who thinks that she didn't discuss getting rid of abortion or increasing the power of the presidency with Bush is incredibly naive.

This from her OFFICIAL WHITE HOUSE page:

She was appointed to be Assistant to the President and Staff Secretary on January 20, 2001.
In 2003, Ms. Miers was promoted to be Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief of Staff.
Ms. Miers has served as Counsel to the President since February, 2005.

4. In 1998 when he was Governor, she made sure no fallout from Natl Guard
She is one of his small group of handlers and enablers that include Rove, Karen Hughes and Condi Rice. According to a Newsweek article linked to on another thread yesterday, in 1998 she was paid nearly $20,000 for her services 'reviewing' Bush's National Guard records to ensure he would have no problems from his past to impede re-election as Texas Gov. or a presidential run.
