Is that true? I heard a reporter just say that. Does that count for Clark since he didn't campaign in Iowa?

1. These type of stats are meaningless
especially with the new front loaded primary system. There is a first time for everything.

5. Muskie in '72 is the only one I can think of.
Kerry is in great shape, but it could all turn on a dime...again!

His best bet is to take aim at Bush and continue to look presidential. Next Tuesday will be a lot of fun to watch & although I have been for Dean since before the beginning, Carville got it right, saying that if no one but Kerry is winning primaries, it'll be time for the other candidates to get out of the race.

6. Tonight I heard that no one who won 1st in NH
ever won nomination. Who knows?

The clearest indicator in the past of who has eventually recieved the nomination is the candidate who had the most money going into Iowa. Or so I heard.

Dean had most $ going into Iowa, but as was stated above, there is a first time for everything.
