2. Heard it also. Very clear in explaining who is at fault in the disaster.
It will repeat again on NPR in San Diego. I hope everyone in the country hears it.

4. I Heard Most of it in the Car
I was riveted. Thanks for the timeline -- now I can catch the part I missed.

I loved the reporting style -- very factual. Almost dry. But damning in substance.

5. Here's the relevant transcript

It’s Friday—four days since Katrina hit. Everybody in the region is clamoring for the government to send in troops. On this day...Bush makes his first visit to New Orleans.

He calls Mayor Nagin and Governor Blanco to a meeting aboard Air Force One on the tarmac at Louis Armstrong Airport. According to city, state and federal officials...(Bush) tells the governor he will send the troops, but only if they and the National Guard answer to the White House. Governor Blanco says she needs 24 hours to think about it. Meanwhile, inside the airport terminal, hundreds of sick and elderly evacuees are lying on cots in baggage claim.

Of course, Blanco spent those 24 hours hiring De Witt, putting Honore in charge of the military, and setting up a donation fund. She knew that Bush was up to something--and I still say that it was this correspondence that tipped her off! A bi-partisan investigation isn't good enough--public hearings and criminal charges are in order!

6. The Special Report clowns (Hume Barnes Kondracke ) are whining...
..."Its not fair, if Bush had gone into a black neighborhood early, there would have been criticism, waa, waa, Its the Governor's fault, waa, waa"

Incredible. Be sure of this, the people that are DEFENDING Bush and Brown on this fiasco have now been OUTED as paid Whitehouse operatives!!!

Keep an eye on these clowns, we know who they are now.
