Mehlman (GOP Chair) Vs. Howard Dean
There was post last nite that Howard Dean cancelled a DLC dinner in Arizon in light of Katrina's devastation.

yesterday, I get an e-mail from Ken Mehlman to call Senator Nelson to urge him to fully repeal the estate tax when the Congressional (Senate) session resumes.

Is he out of his bloody mind? If I call Nelson this week it will be to urge him to pass legislation that would actually help the victims of Katrina and prevent any future natural disasters from reaching this magnitude.

Estate Tax. Well, it may be of some comfort to people who had a parent die in NOLA to know they don't have to pay so much in taxes on the flooded out property.

1. DNC not DLC
It was the Democratic National Committee meeting that was postponed.
