Democrat CAFTA voting TRAITORS just gave Bush THE BIG MO!!!!!!!
Bush was up against the ropes. Spending his political capital on Rove/gate and the diaster in Iraq! He was standing on a cliff over looking Lame Duck Lake about to fall in, so what does Rove do? Calls a vote on CAFTA!
The stategy being, if Bush can get CAFTA passed, he gets his momentum back and he can PUSH THROUGH THE REST OF HIS AGENDA!

So there you have it folks. This isn't just about CAFTA. It's about HELPING BUSH'S AGENDA! The Supreme Court fight, Social Security, Estate tax, invading the rest of the Middle East and everything else this monster wants to do! It's even possible that the traitor Dems even hurt the Plame investigation.

We need to get to the bottom of what happened and we need RESULTS!
NO MORE FUCKIN AROUND! Giving Bush CAFTA is one thing. Giving him THE BIG MO is unforgivable.

If our Democrat leaders can't deal with this DIASTER! Then we need NEW leadership! PLAIN AND SIMPLE!

Here are the traitor's names

Bean
Cooper
Cuellar
Dicks
Hinojosa
Jefferson
Matheson
Meeks (NY)
Moore (KS)
Moran (VA)
Ortiz
Skelton
Snyder
Tanner
Towns

We need some answers NOW!

1. Agreed.
I find amazing that the leaders did not ask the caucus to vote together on that one. There still would have been a few defectors, but probably CAFTA would not have passed.

Pelosi questions Republican tactics in CAFTA win

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The House of Representatives' top Democrat accused Republicans on Thursday of possibly illegal action to encourage some Democrats to vote for a free-trade pact with Central America. The House voted 217-215 in favor of the U.S.-Central American Free Trade Agreement, or CAFTA, early on Thursday morning, with 15 Democrats joining 202 Republicans in support.

At a briefing hours later, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, a California Democrat, complained that deals offered by House Republicans to win CAFTA made the House seem like the "set of 'Let's Make a Deal,"' referring to a TV game show.

Some Democrats were made offers that they said they didn't think "passed legal muster," Pelosi told reporters.

3. We are screwed if Dems can't get their act together against Repubs
CAFTA is not popular with most Americans. There must be some big payoffs, deals or corporate support offered to these Dems for them to throw their votes in such a way that helps Bush and the Repubs.

5. CAFTA bill not whipped. No wonder 15 Democrats deserted the party.
The decision not to whip the bill formally may also play well for Hoyer personally. He has cultivated a reputation as a member of Democratic leadership who is friendly to business interests. Hoyers support of this years bankruptcy bill, however, triggered criticism from some progressives in the House.

Durbin and Reid are not part of the DLC. Why were they not able to get more Senators in line?

9. This vote is the kind of crap that always kills the Dems.
Damned Keystone Kops of politics. Not one Dem should have voted for CAFTA, not one. We are already a minority, why would any Dem give more power to the majority? Unless they are DINOs.

17. It's TRUE they didn't whip the bill! Disgraceful!!!!!!
http://www.hillnews.com/thehill/export/TheHill/News/Fro ...

At least some of the credit for the strength of Democratic opposition to CAFTA has to go to Democratic leadership. Even though leaders are not formally whipping the bill, they have made it known that this vote is of utmost importance to them. Democrats have the chance to score a major victory if they defeat the agreement and a partial victory if they can force vulnerable Republicans to cast a vote that could become a liability in the 2006 elections. Both Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) have met with members to discuss CAFTA.

By not whipping CAFTA, Democrats, in a way, are able to enjoy the best of both worlds. They are still exerting strong influence within the caucus, but not in an official way that might scare away Republicans.

They did not make it a caucus position, but they did make it very clear that they would not take kindly to Democrats supporting it. They made that clear to me, said Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.), who supports the pact.

There is no confusion on where the leader and I stand on this issue, Hoyer said yesterday in defending the decision not to whip the bill formally. If you are interested whether I have talked to people, I have talked to people; you know, you wouldnt believe I have talked to people about it. I have. Do we have a formal whip opposition? ... The answer to that is no.
