And after Rove goes... what then?
Let's say that it all happens as it should and Rove departs from the Bush administration, officially.

And let's say that he's not in jail.

Doesn't that free him up to do even *more* evil tricks, now that he's officially not part of the administration?

I'm just sayin....

2. It will certainly give him the chance to dawn his true identity...
as Rova-the-Hut - Destroyer of Galaxies.

4. Ari can have his old job back. Rumsfield will still be top hawk and
Wolfowitz will develop osteoarthritis from bending down to hear all talk that takes place between "Stem" and any foreign leader as they all walk down the stairs of some building during a photo op.

6. I just posed nearly the same question in another thread:
So, OK, let's assume this gets hot enough that he resigns or is fired. So what? Karl Rove has done nothing but eat, sleep, and breathe politics for his entire adult life. He and George Bush have had some sort of twisted symbiotic relationship for a couple decades now. Is that man really going to slink off to a country home and live the rest of his life growing roses and tomatoes?

If he doesn't go to jail, what is to stop them from putting him in some nondescript DC office building with a couple computers and a few phone lines and continuing to exert almost as much influence as he has for the last 5 years?

Please, someone, tell me that this couldn't happen.

Only one reassuring answer so far.
