DU Thread Last Night About Unusual Activity At U.S. Air Force .....

base(s). Before I went to bed last night I visited DU and ran across a thread from one of our posters that they heard unusual air traffic activity around the base that they lived near. (Can we find that thread?)

I thought at that moment that I read it that something was going to happen today. With a potential for a Rove indictment... With others in the WH being implicated... With the DSM memo... With Blair's and *'s ratings in the toilet... etc, etc , etc, ...

I thought they have to do something to take the heat off. Woke up this a.m. to the "London Terror Attacks" - the same title being used on more than one T.V. station. Just saw *'s comments. All too programmed, staged - in my opinion.

I hate to be a conspiracy theorist - but this in just more than coincidental.

It's like if we are living through a 'bad James Bond' movie.

5. I live near an AFB and commonly when hurricanes are

approaching they fly a lot of planes out of the path of the storm. Don't know, just saying...

6. Well, here's some of my speculation

1) Someone was paying more attention to air force traffic than they usually do, so it seemed like more activity because they were observing more closely.

2) Routine drills and practice.

3) They're shuffling fighters around to accommodate the base closings.

4) Because of the base closings, they have to consume their surplus jet fuel before they leave.

5) Since the bases are closing, many air reserve units will have fewer opportunities to train and get flight time. So, they're trying to get everyone as much time in the cockpit as they can, while they still have the resources.

6) The Air Force is preparing to participate in a coup against Bush.

7) Something terrible and awful is about to happen.

A freeper also spotted them, and posted on their board about it.
I mentioned earlier, I heard loud planes flying over my house this morning and assumed they were flying out of Selfridge. This doesn't bother me, it seems to me a reasonable response in a city that is hosting the All Star Game and all associated activities. I hope the overstretched DPD and other local police are checking the DOT/SMART busses and the Amway tracks and stations in the New Center, Dearborn, Royal Oak and Ann Arbor.

I'm sure the Metro Airport is on a high alert, too. There are a lot of people from all over descending on our city this weekend, along with the national media.

Blair and smirk had to stop having eyes on them.

wa la London is bombed and a new Al quida group says it did it.

Blair looked totally stressed when he made his speech. a speech that actually said nothing much. and c-span kept repeating his speech as if he had actually said something of import.
