I, for one, feel much better.

That may have to do with the fact that I accidently missed the speech while reading Molly Ivins' column and a few other sites too. So I didn't have the painful experience of getting shit shoveled into my ears like the rest of you did. Not listening to The Chimperor made my day.

2. Only the ignorant right
fell for any of the BS that he spewed out last night. He is just a little scared because his ratings are falling and that he can't get none of the young republicans to sign up and fight in his war for control of the world's oil.

3. Bush is a useless broken record
The whole administration is. I never learn anything new from any of them when they are on tv or giving a speech. Rehash. Retread. Never admit wrong. Never change. Fail miserably.

5. I was dealing with strep throat and a sinus infection
Which is a lot more fun than listening to more of Shrub's rhetoric.

BTW, God bless Augmentin.

6. I was impressed...
not with * , but with CNN's post coverage. Paula Zahn beat him up for referencing 9/11 SIX times when Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 - she actually said that!!! David Gergen said that the 9/11 references "annoyed" him and were out of context. They discussed that he was just playing the "9/11 trump card". It was encouraging to see these MSM people honestly critiquing and saying what we've been saying all along.

As for the speech, I'll conceed that the Chimp did better than he has in awhile, only a few flubs in a whole 30 minutes. The speech it's self was just the same old fuzzy math -

9/11 = Iraq / Terrorists = Open Ended Occupation + Civilian Colateral Damage = Freedom & Democracy for All

The new spin is to label insurgents as Terrorists to justify staying. The sad thing is it's true - it's Saudis, Iranians, Syrians, and others chipping away at American troops at the expense of the Iraqi people. What began as local insurgents has grown to include a much broader force = unwinnable.....
