with a wire down his back under his jacket at the debates...did Kerry look lackluster then?

3. Do we really care?
Why judge somebody in his 60s by his grades when he was 20?

Why judge anybody by his grades anyway, but that is another question.

7. Otherwise we'd consider Einstein a dumbass
I'm just sayin'

Didn't he flunk math or something?

Kerry's has said that his extracurricular stuff was infinitely more interesting to him than the schoolwork.

26. Let's see...
we aren't suppose to judge someone who was a drunk, a coke-head, refused to go to Viet Nam, skipped out on his military service, and lies as naturally as fish swim, yet we are suppose to think less of Kerry because he got poor grades in college?
Ain't the world a perfect place when the vast-right-wing-conspiracy sets the agenda?

6. Sean "Hitler" Hannity was crowing about how Kerry's average...
was "only 4 points higher than Bush's". Now had Bush for some absurd idiodic reason had an average that was "4 points higher than Kerry", Skkkum Hannity would be screaming about how much "smarter" Bush was.

:eyes:

Just remember that!

Also, Kerry has a well acomplished life, but Bush was a drunk till he was forty then his daddy bought him his future.

12. I don't give a shit what they did in college. I care about
what the goddamn politicians ARE or ARE NOT doing today. I did't ask my plumber what his elementary school grades were before he fixed my sink and I don't need to know what the fuck Bush, Kerry or King Kong did in college. These assholes are supposed to work for this country -not against it.

31. You posted it, dude.
Don't go pointing your finger at the BG.

Did you post the other BG piece (that they buried) about the important stuff, that the records prove the Smear-Boat Liars were, well, Liars?

Or any of the other articles that talked about his actual military record?

Here or at your "Real Opinion" place?

I'm guessing no.

19. in order for it to mean anything,
You would have to be sure that each one was trying equally hard to get good grades. Kerry admits that he wasn't, that he was busy learning to fly a plane, and going to a lot of extra-curricular meetings, and playing on sports teams, etc.

I'd really like to know how each did in post-grad studies; I think that would be a lot more informative.

Kerry spent his 30s and 40s as either a lawyer, a Lt. Gov, or a Senator. Chimp spent his either drunk or high, by all accounts.

And yeah, we know who got his clock cleaned for him during all three debates. :+

about grades; Kerry vs. the blivet in a debate, result= no contest. The man is smart and principled. Good enough for me as there's none of that going on with you know who.

24. Did Kerry's daddy get him into Yale?
Nope. Did Kerry'd daddy hire him a private tutor? Nope

Did Bush only get into Yale cause of his daddy? Yup. Even showed up to the interview drunk.

Now getting "average" grades at Yale is impressive to a person like me who graduated with a business degree with emphasis in info technology with a gpa of 3.8

I didn't go to a place like Yale I didn't have daddy pulling strings for me to get into college.

Hell I even had to pay for it on my own.

That's far more than I can say for President Fuckstick

27. One explanation...
They begin with equivalent intelligence, then different choices.. years of alcohol (?) "This is your brain. This is your brain on drugs." Simple explanation. Progressive problem-- I think he's getting worse.

30. Don't understand why you posted that
Edited on Thu Jun-09-05 09:18 PM by DisassemblingHisLies
considering it's been posted several times before earlier in the week. And why are Kerry's college grades news?

I'd be more concerned about the fact that the one running the country had grades that were "lackluster", plus the fact that he has additional handicaps that happen to be Kerry's strengths: the WH nitwit can't articulate, he's ethically & morally challenged, & he has no common sense.

32. It's a big world after school
I don't think the point of anyone's grades in high school or collage is altogether relevant to one's life work. It's tragic when someone stops learning after graduation, because life will teach you more than you ever learned in school, if one is open to life's lessons. It seems to me that John Kerry continued learning long after collage. His resume as a prosecutor, his work in the Senate, the connections he kept around the world, and the way he has conducted himself following his campaign, all point to a person who not only continues learning but seeks knowledge and education out.

If he is being compared to GWB, it seems to be no contest. Bush's entire career is based on his father's friends, he has shown absolutely no sign of continuing to seek knowledge or information and doesn't seem to be capable of connecting dots in a cognitive manner.

Whether one liked or didn't like John Kerry, from an objective view there isn't anyway someone could come away from watching those debates without a clear understanding of who was the more intelligent of the two.

Aren't they comparing 4 yrs of Kerry vs. 3 of Bush ('cause Bush dropped out and finished later)? At least, that is kinda what I heard...
