How can they keep everyone in the M$M Quiet?
With numerous Bush scandals and many Journalists who could make it on their own if they had to-why so much silence? Where's Bob Woodward when you need him?

1. Military contracts.
NBC is owned by GE. GE is a military contractor. They are profiting of the war, as well as other BUSH policies. Like Bush's energy policy, coal. There is a new GE commercial out that touts their clean coal technology.

Now you see why MSNBC canceled Donahue and put in Dennis Miller and a chimp.

3. I always wondered why
ABC hasn't done more? Michael Eisner is a liberal democrat and the Chief Operating Officer is former democrat senator George Mitchell.

5. And the Bush administration has shown total partisanship
when it comes to awarding contracts. If a corporation were to be too critical, they would find themselves losing lots of federal business.

There is a strong atmosphere of retribution in DC. You tow the line or you pay dearly.

2. Woodward and Bernstein (Woodstein)

had the backing of their Editor (Ben Bradlee) AND of their
publisher (Katherine Graham). Something which is lacking
in today's MSM. Newspapers are no longer family owned, which
means that all MSM is now corporate owned, and Bushco is a
mere tool of the major corporations.

4. It is more a matter of group think, peer approval,
...and "How to keep your job and increase your salary by keeping the bosses upstairs happy.." than an active conspiracy.

Most of the MSM TV Talking Heads ARE Prima Dona members of the top 1% who benefit from a Republican Presidency. These guys set the mood for the rest of the TV Media, and aren't about to rock the boat and maybe ruin their good thing. They are COWARDS who will check which way the wind is blowing before offering their opinion, or airing a story that will upset their Corporate Owners.

Stories or investigations that are critical of Cutthroat Unrestrained Capitalism, Unrestrained Free Trade, or the Republican Party are unacceptable to the Corporate Ownership, and NOT a way to advance your career.

7. Journalists with integrity in the MSM must be going nuts.....
not being allowed to report what they know.

As was pointed out above, Woodstein would have gotten nowhere w/o
the commitment of the Washington Post to follow the story of Watergate.
