I saw this crap on the Today Show this morning. Bozell is out on the airwaves (as if he is legitimate) complaining about the Carl Jr. Paris Hilton ads. Look I'm no fan of the "Famous for being famous" Hilton but I don't remember anyone pushing a boycott of the Coors empire (original funders of the Heritage Foundation and one of "The Four Sisters" of Conservative think-thank funding) when they sold their nasty Coors Light primarily with the "........ AND TWINS" ads.

PTC: Hilton's burger ad doesn't cut the mustard
What started as a simple fast food ad that crashed a web site has turned into the latest crusade for the conservative Parents Television Council. The Carl’s Jr. Spicy BBQ Burger ad features Paris Hilton in a revealing swimsuit washing a car, obviously targeting the young people who obsess over the pseudo-celeb. PTC president L. Brent Bozell, who has complained about numerous broadcast TV shows in the past, says on the PTC web site: “Carl's Jr./Hardees need to be held responsible for marketing their raunchy, sexually graphic ad to millions of children via broadcast television and at the Carl's Jr./Hardees' web sites without any restrictions.” The popularity of the ad crashed the site SpicyParis.com last week after too many download attempts. Bozell's group may ask the Federal Communications Commission to declare the slightly less spicy TV version of the ad indecent.

Carl's JR was never, ever on my radar. Ever. I may have heard of it, vaguely...I have heard of HARDEES (there was an annoying commercial years ago with an earworm tune--Hurry on down to Hardee's, where the BURGERs are CHARCOAL broiled!!!"...but all this so-called NEWS is doing is increasing brand awareness.

Funny, as I am typing this, Dr. Joyce Brothers is commenting on MSNBC about this very issue, and the issue of soft core porn being used to sell stuff!!!

If that silly commercial, with that skinny, underfed, and by her own admission and videotapes on the internet, skanky woman is soft core porn, well, I guess my definition of it is off the mark!
