We're stuck with Bush for at least three years
He's got to be concerned with his legacy. He's done nothing to give himself a positive legacy. He used our military to hit a small third world country under the guise of WMD's and kill thousands of innocents, and our military personnel.

He has the majority of the world hating us. He's slashed our social programs to pay for tax cuts to the rich. He is probably the worst president since we became a country.

He better do something positive other than feed the pockets of the corporate globalists. I think he will try to establish a legacy that is positive, but I don't know where he will find it.

1. That's what he thinks he's doing.
He thinks if everyone will just shut up and obey him for the next three years, we'll eventually see that he was right after all.

:puke:

2. He could turn himself in.

That would be very positive.

4. I'm sure Bush feels he has a fine legacy already.

After all, he's protected us from the terra'ists... well, except for that whole 9-11 thing and the explosion of terrorism in Iraq.

And the TAX CUTS, the tax cuts that have revitalized the economy among our richest citizens. Talk about a legacy...

As the Good Book says, "God helps those who help themselves"... and Bush has been helping those who help themselves to help themselves to even more throughout his administration.

Praise the Lord.

:sarcasm:

5. Yes, Bush sickens me
and how he convinced voters to think he is an asset is beyond me. He has hurt this country and divided this country. That will show up in his legacy. I am curious as to how he plans to place a positive curve on his legacy.

8. What kind of legacy?

The one that matters to him is the one he gets among his buddies in Dallas. After all, they're the smarter-than-thou elite and the rest of the country is just hoi polloi.

We're going to be seeing this Presidency and his Party selfdestruct over these hardline policies that led to all these "accomplishments" and all these "accomplishments" prove hollow. Just you wait.

9. I don't think Bush cares about his legacy. WE THE PEOPLE do not matter!
I think Bush is only concerned about his legacy within his own social circle. I think he wants to show up at any meeting of Public CEOs, Religious Right Titans or neo-cons and be praised for standing up for HIS KIND of people.

As far as his public legacy....he knows it's all spin. Rush Limbaugh, the corporate media will do a masterful job of painting him as the man who saved America.

10. Legacy...pfffffff
He might have a great legacy among the FReepers like Reagan had, but all of us on DU (and the majority of the world) know better.
