I asked 14 people: "heard of Galloway?"

Nope.

Not one.

Not even a guy from Britain.

I thought at least 1 person, just one.

Nope.

1. Most people know very little; it sure helps the GOP.

2. That is why we are so often mystified by "how they get away with it"
Most people are completely unaware of all the stuff we spend so much time talking about around here.

Rome is burning, but most of the romans are blind and deaf.

3. It's all part of the dumbing-down...
corporatized-media plan. Everything is working perfectly for them if most people have no clue what is going on. Clinton's admin was as transparent as Casper the Ghost by comparison.

4. And it makes me cry...
I was at a meeting last night for our newly-formed Progressive group and the waitress that served us said she was a Republican! She didn't really know why, just some blather about checks on both parties and that she didn't vote "straight ticket". I was stunned. Here is a woman who doesn't even make minimum wage, with an 8-yr old son, who votes for those who keep stabbing her in the back. I'll guarantee she doesn't know who Galloway is, nor does she care. She probably couldn't tell you her State Congressman's name, either. I despair when this is the state of our public.

5. Life in the Matrix is designed to simulate the late 20th century
and early 21st. The people willing to take the red pill are scarce.

8. I know a person who is very smart, educated, liberal, etc.
He hadn't heard of the Downing St. memo. It makes me want to scream.
