4. Yeah
McGovern and Moore endorsed Clark, but that didn't really change the tone of the campaign (well, the Moore one did, but he is very controversial).

Endorsments are great and all, but sometimes, candidates spend too much time getting endorsements when they should be spending time with the voters. I hope Kerry doesn't fall into that trap.

:-) I pretty much had to remind people not to slam Mondale, because even though he lost to Reagan, Mondale was on the right side of history to take him on.

5. It might make a difference here...
It's a question of timing.

If this adds a few points by Tuesday and victory comes from it, that could be it with the momentum that brings.

On the other hand, Gore's endorsement was too long before the Iowa Caucus.
