4. Oh... Not the same election???
Gee... they should clarify! But, even though I'm not dead and even though I live in South Texas, I've only voted once each in the last 9 elections. Every one since '72, the year they changed the voting age to 18 and the year I turned 18.

14. Why don't you vote in the primaries?

I have voted fourteen times in seven presidential elections: once per election during the primary and once per election during the general.

Bush - Carter
Kennedy - Mondale
Glenn - Bush
Clinton - Clinton
Clinton - Clinton
Gore - Gore
Dean - Kerry

36. No... right, wrong or indifferent
Democrats quit winning presidential elections when we adopted the McGovern rules for the convention. I think the McGovern rules were wonderful for participation and inclusion, but they also hastened the move of the south from being solid Dem to solid GOP. In any event, the South was never going to buy into the civil rights movement, including people of color and other liberal issues so their move to the GOP was inevitable.

8. Presidential Election votes
A total of 11 votes including the 1964 election (my first) when I drove over 350 miles round trip to vote against Goldwater. In those days being a student was not sufficient reason to grant an absentee ballot.

Carter in 76
Reagan in 80 (Please go easy. I repented that LONG ago and have done pennance after pennance! I was a very pissed off Kennedy voter who wanted to thumb my nose at Carter. At least I'm admitting my mistake)
Mondale in 84
Dukakis in 88
Clinton in 92 & 96
Gore in 00
Kerry in 04

4 who won, 2 who lost & 2 who won but didn't get the job!

Only once voted Republican and no regrets here......Barry Goldwater in my first Presidential election (1964). Only 3 wins for me in 50 years. Most exciting election 1992....most frustrating 2004.
