I'd say to leave the voters out of it. They only vote based on what is given to them, and frankly, America's failing public education system and the corporate news media have given them bullshit with which to question the course they've presently embarked. If you want to know why voters vote the way they do, perhaps you should be asking what sources they get their news from.

As far as politicians go, I could care less about them. Many politicians in both parties from Joe Biden (bankruptcy bill, remember?) to Frist (no explanation necessary) are worthy of contempt.
