Did I hear shrub correct last night?
At the end of the news 'conference' did he say, "...thank you for all your answers".

:dunce:

And I know he said, regarding the shipping of suspects to be tortured in their "country of origin", he said, "For those who are trying to do us harm we need to take them out of harm's way".

:dunce:

5. No. He said, "Thank you all for your interest."
Just ask Fox. I read it in their transcripts.

6. I believe he said "Thank you for your interest"
I listened closely when one of the networks had a rerun clip of the end and he said "interest" not "answers"

However he did make many inane, confusing and misleading statements during this press conference that the media has failed to comment or analyze. As usual, he is never held accountable for his flipflopping and nonsensical statements that either conflict with the facts or contradict previous statements he has made.

10. I heard it that way too.
And I don't trust the transcripts. I learned after the debates last fall that they take out most of the stutters and 'um's and clean it up a lot.

8. Weird Faces at the End
Edited on Fri Apr-29-05 09:28 AM by AValdoux
He sure was making a lot of grimacing faces toward the end. It was like, "Oh I hate doing this but I'll take a few more". Kinda "I'd rather have a white hot poker in my head right now than have to dance around one more of these stupid questions." He seemed like a celebrity who was annoyed having to answer trivial questions about his new hair color or pet chihuahua. He didn't seem to get the importance of the issues he was being asked about. He also used a lot of response time slowly explaining things to us instead of offering any new insight on the issues.

VIDEO/AUDIO
"Predident Bush news Conference 4/28/2005" ( you can skip right to the end)

Now , that said...there were a thousand other Bushisms and examples of the Chimperors mastery of the English language.
