and also to emphasize that the sex angle, while titillating and certainly something that needs to be looked into, is less important than "Gannon's" amazingly high security clearance, his knowing in advance of the Iraq invasion, his involvement in the Plame outing, and his being a mouthpiece for Administration propaganda. If there really is a sex angle, I don't think it's a sample as it seems. A prostitution/pedophilia ring may well serve to entrap influential closeted homosexuals and pedophiles (yes, I know those two categories are separate, what's in common is that they have a secret) for blackmail purposes. Good way to ensure support.

41. Keith was game in this 4 min clip, but the WaPo's Dana Milbank

did everything he could to pooh-pooh the Secret Service logs of "Gannon's" visits as absolutly no story. :grr: Funniest part - the graphic of the White House with the letters spelling "F R I E N D S" n front of it, first put up in an earlier story, remained up for the "Gannon" story - which I think was deliberate on Keith's part.

We'll see what happens now despite Milbank's all-out effort to make this story die. Apparently a male escort with no journalism experience visiting the WH 200 times on day passes that are usually used only on rare occasions means nothing to Mr. Milbank, or so he would like us to believe. Keith was game, but Milbank was a total squashing iinfluence. I am suspicious about his motivations here.

I saw him on camera when someone discussed the breaking story. When he was asked what he thought about it, he visibly winced, looked like he was having appendicitis. I think he's the "man who knew too much about the mandate."

I thought Milbank was way, way over-the-top in trying to downplay what is obviously at the minimum a bizarre story with "Gannon's" many, many WH visits. When I saw in the newsletter that Keith would cover this story tonight, I suspected that his bosses would receive a call from the WH demanding that the story be suppressed or downplayed in some way. I wonder whose idea it was to invite Milbank? I thought he quite deliberately tried to project "nothing here, move on, move on." I mean, at the very least this is a truly BIZARRE and UNIQUE situation, and Keith forced him to admit the latter at least.

I suspect Milbank's motives.

I LOVED the fact that the previous graphic, the photo of the White House with the letters

FRIENDS

written across the front was still up behind Keith while he was talking bout the mysterious and numerous visits of JimmyJeff. I wonder if that was his way of leaking what he really thinks about this - maybe not, but I like the thought.

I hope Milbank didn't succeed in his clear goal of squashing this story. He reminded me of Rosemary Woods leaning over an impossible distance to show how she could ACCIDENTALLY erase the Nixon tape whle her foot was on the pedal of her machine.

He may have gotten marching orders from the Washington Post, a consistent Bush ally, or he may want to 'cover his own ass.'

The Post lacks any journalistic integrity. When Milbank wrote some honest pieces about Bush, he was relegated to the back pages. He learned his lesson. He was on for "spin control."

Next he'll be recruited for the Moonie Washington Times. He's a dweeb without the charm.
